I have a 1980 model 8274 that I finally finished rebuilding and was wondering if anyone has ever successfully set one of these up with a wireless remote??

Harbor Freight sells one. It has the correct connector for the 8274 but I haven't tried it yet.

Thank you!! I will go there tomorrow and pick one up. I will let you know if it works.

Watching with anticipation as I'm in the same situation with my 8274.
Also, found another opportunity to use the urban dictionary as a result of this thread.

The solenoids are simple so it shouldn't be hard to make it work... For the frequency I use a winch I'd not want a battery operated controller. I've not used mine since 1995ish. I also like the reliability of a hard wired connection.

Thank you. I don't think it would be hard to figure out for someone who knew what they were doing. I am planning to have a hardwire connection on front and a separate controller socket in the cab with the wireless controller attached. I will carry the hardwire controller in my toolbox, just in case.
