by the looks of the front turn signals...L@@ks like it came from Costa Rica maybe Nicaragua...??

I hope the ome installation happens with minimum resistance... then the z-link needs to be eliminated.

Judging by the Panamanian registration sticker on the windshield, I'd say it is out of.....

Looks much better - looked a bit like a rollerskate before. What size tires? nevermind I'm sure you mentioned it - I'll go back and look

right - 255/85-16 BFG's

Teq: yeah, I wasn't partial to that rollerskate look.

Dan: thanks!

Bull: Yup, should look familiar.... I was so close to buying it when you had it up for sale.

100% better. I see that box peeking through the wheel well there.

Yup. Getting it cut out.... just not worth it, and it looks crazy there.

ok.... after months of this truck going from mechanic to mechanic, it now is at my house. But, hold the applause; there are several thing that it still needs. The last mechanic could not figure out its wiring woes. So, now my troopie has no working lights, turn signals, brake lights, cig lighter, nothing... Also, the glow plugs are supposed to go hot once the key is turned clockwise once... nothing. They don't get hot until the starter actually starts spinning the engine. :( I don't believe that the alternater is correctly hooked up either because the battery is pretty dead (new).

but, i'm still happy to have her home. I've done a few laps around our property just testing out the transmission and xfer and 4wd. Everything mechanically seems to be fine.

Now my search begins with looking for a mechanic with some wiring skills

Here are a few pics with seats, wipers, new tires, ome kit, few other bits.

ok. having issues with posting pics.

I'm also trying to install seat belts. I got a nice set off of an '81 40. I cannot seem to get either one of them to release their belts... any ideas?

One more... still need to resolve the crack in the transmission case and the wiring.

Troopy

Hey Daniel, here is it's twin. LHD but with an "H" diesel. I am planning on the same tire and wheel combo. Did you go with the OEM suspension kit? Who did you purchase it from? Still looking for a set of original rear bench seats.

Nah... no significant updates. :( well, I did buy new emblems, turn signals, sor fog lamps, few other cosmetic parts.

Yes this is the ome deluxe kit. Got it through the manager of a 4 wheel parts in Atlanta. Got the tires through him as well.
I love the look/stance of this setup.

Ghetto, your truck is nice as is. I have both backs for my troopie seats, but only one side for the bottoms... I'll try to complete that task on down the road.
