One pic for initial discussion sake before I get more information up... EDIT: see additional pics now added below

Middle east truck - I found UAE coins under windshield. I understand she was originally imported by SOR then had two mudder PO's before my 8 years or so of ownership.

Not pristine by any stretch, but honest bones, steering wheel on the correct side, and 2F engine. Runs drives stops great. Includes the top plus rear amby and wing vent front doors... but I took them off 8 years ago and she's been topless since.

I have to thin the herd and with the kids now getting older this doesn't get much use.

asking $12,000 range, or interested in trade involving AWD, fuel efficent driver like Subaru Outback or maybe older AWD sedan like Audi, BMW xdrive, etc

please PM if interested

I went over and looked at this truck the other day. It's got a lot going for it. LHD, gas Troopy's are not something you see everyday. I'd be inclined to drive her the way she is but it would not take a tremendous amount of wok to make her really nice. Runs good, drives good, rare truck. Damn, I should buy her! :-)

Talking with Eric, probably stopping by next Friday to see it on way to Oshkosh.

As the PO before Eric, I bought the cruiser from missippiboy who bought it from Marv.
The highlight of ownership was when I drove from Boulder, CO to the southern most point of mainland Mexico (near Mezunte) and back. 10,000 KM's and she ran strong, like a top. The saginaw PS is nice. Loved it an never planned on selling it...GLWS!

thanks for chiming in Gibran... I haven't done a whole lot to her mechanically since then - needed a new clutch so did that and swapped in an H42 (for drivability) a couple years ago , replaced a GM alt with used stock one, swapped springs on one end to even out ride height, swapped on a lower drop pitman arm because the angle bothered me... misc stuff like that. Haven't done compression but she starts right up, runs and drives great. No reason she wouldn't make that trip again tomorrow.

Good deal, I was really gonna be in deep s..t when I saw it and was forced to make offer! Glad it worked out for ya.

I think you should pick her up and drive back to Boulder, on my behalf.

Have something special waiting for her there.....

I'll be in the front range in late Aug and would be happy to bring her out on my car trailer for a new owner...

If I wasn't pulling the taj mahammy from Steamboat to Wisconsin back to Steamboat but could result in another road trip!!
Just like in college!!!!

finally got the top and doors back on, so a few more pics... she's far from perfect but a sexy beast by any account!

I do have a spare carrier and fifth matching tire/wheel (not pictured). The jump seat seat backs are also just loose in the back as I took them off for access to the bolts holding the hardtop sides down.

I am shocked that this truck is not sold. I have 2 restoration projects sucking up my money right now or I would buy it.

Anything wrong with it mechanically? I'm guessing 4 wheel drum or does it have disk up front?

good thought but no, thank you

small or midsize, fuel efficient, awd sport sedan/wagons would be good though... like subaru outback, audi a4/6, bmw 3 or 5 series X drive, etc

or possibly a nice driver fj45 lpb ($12-17K value) in which case I would also trade or sell seperately the project 66 fj45 lpb I have in queue...

However I am awaiting funds from a Mud member who has indicated he is buying the Troopy... will post when confirmed sold
