I’m selling my 79 FJ40 “project”. I’ve had it a few years and have did odds and ends but it mainly sits in my shop. It does have factory power steering and AC was added at some point. Has a York compressor. The 2f has been desmogged and a new oem carb added. It runs good but has a good bit of rust. I would say that a 3/4 tub would be the best solution but I do have a stainless half tub and new floorpan I was going to use. I actually have everything to rebuild it but that does not go for this price. I would be willing to discuss a price for it all but this isn’t a fire sale. I’d prefer to sell the 40 first and then all the parts.
The frame has some rust in the mid frame area that I was going to address but it’s not awful. From the cowl forward is great and has a WARN 8274. I haven’t tried to get it to work but it looks in good shape. I’m sure some questions will arise and a need for more pics that I can supply for serious folks. Oh, it also has a working oem radio. The top wasn’t the best and the cap is gone. I have the side panels and ambulance doors but they aren’t the best. The front doors and rear tire carrier are good.
