It troubles me to do this, but just not my time to own one of these. With some huge personal changes on the horizon I have decided I need to part ways with my 1979 FJ40. I do not have to sell this, but it is currently in mine and my children's best interest to do so.
I am asking SOLD but will entertain reasonable offers.
So, here are the details of the Rig.
1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
Paint and Body:
Freeborn Red Base/Clear
-Body and front doors painted in 2014
-Hard Tops Sides and Ambulance doors painted May 2018
-Body work has been completed on the Fiberglass top, but has not been painted and no headliner installed.
-Any rust was cut out and patched by previous owner and contracted body shop.
-There are some additional holes in rear of tub, where PO has installed bar doors.
-Floor was coated in red raptor liner, and has since been top coated (mostly) with semi gloss black.
-4Plus front bumper with Winch mount plate Warn winch is included
-4Plus running boards/Side steps integrated sliders
-I have a cleaner set of window that i recently purchased that I will be installing shortly.
Interior:
-1797 Saudi front 60/40 split bench (added square tube to raise seat 1.25" and provided additional 2.75" of rearward adjustment. Actually has decent leg room.
-recently installed Best Top fold and tumble rear bench
- I also have the rear jumps, with new black vinyl and foam w/ support legs
-3 point front seat belts (roll bar attachment points for shoulder belt)
-Kenwood AM/FM cassette.
-new replica lower dash pads with studs (purchased and installed June 2018)
-Upper Dash is OEM but was capped by PO
-No rear heater installed, but front heater will cook hot dogs.
Chassis:
-4" HFS lift (installed by PO)
-4 Wheel Disc Brakes
-33x10.5 BFG KM2s (Excellent, less that 1K Miles)
This has the original 2F with appx 125K miles. Runs great, starts with little effort. Just drove it a little over 250 miles a few weekends ago with no issues....other than lack of AC...but that did not bother the 40.
Has a Weber 38 installed and Mini truck power steering which makes steering quite easy on the forearms!!
I am sure that I am leaving things out and would be happy to answer questions, especially from potential buyers. Again, I hate to do this, but it is fairly necessary at this point.
