A 400 HP Piggy would be pretty darn fun!
Plus 2UZ reliability!!!

The 1hd-fte in the lx450 has some bolt-on mods: gturbo red wheel turbo; unichip piggyback ecu, +70% injectors and PDI intercooler. It made 350-ish HP and 558 ft-lbs @ 3000 rpm on the chassis dyno.

Going to put about the same setup (no room for the front mount IC in a pig, so will have to use a top-mount) in the barn-door pig on the 80 chassis. Might go for the bigger turbo. Don’t know yet.

I think with some tuning the diesel could make 600 ft-lbs.

Edit: going to put a 1hd-ft in the 1974 fj55, and this one will get a turbo 1fz-fe

I imagine that would be a very satisfying Pig to drive w/ 600 ft-lbs of grunt!

It will be cool to see how the top mount intercooler fits, and what hood mods are required...

Both of these are mine. The painted one is the 2uz with coils, 5-speed.

The non-painted one is on a locked 80 frame and likely gets a massive turbo 1fz / 5-speed combo.

Both are barn door
Both get Scheelmann front row
The 80-frame one will sit a little higher.

If I got super-lucky I could make SSS this year, but realistically I think I’ll have it in Nov/Dec.

I thought maybe I’d bring the LV if @SamC has it drivable. As a “pig prototype”.

Maybe I’ll bring the 1fz fj40 if the LV isn’t ready.
