Sorry to bother you folks.

Question, would a 1976 frame be worth anything. The truck was damaged in a fire and they salvaged it. I was going to rebuild it but decided I just dont have the time.

Frame was reinforced. Springs have 400 miles on them. And it's set up for a sec.

Thanks

Depends on pics. But more importantly how hot did the fire get? Here’s 2x 1967 FJ45’s that were both in fires however the heat from the fire is drastically different in each case.

Starts on post #73

With the potential metal fatigue that can come from a fire it kinda depends. More info about the fire would help.

More info would help to determine the potential value. Is it a FJ/BJ/HJ? 43/45/47? RHD or LHD?

Do you still have the body/bed/cowl/etc?

Depending on the answers to the questions above I might be interested in it.

It was a carb fire. Destroyed thr cab.
Sorry for your loss! Looked like a cool truck!

It doesn’t look like the fire potentially got all that hot or lasted that long? As it appears the rear box was mostly saved with a what I image is a pretty flammable swing out awning that was most spared. Are those the tires that were on it during the fire? If so that’s another indication of a lower temp fire.

How does the metal feel? Does it crumble or disintegrate when you touch it?

In addition to the frame does the cab, cowl, windshield, fenders, trans, transfer, axles, bumpers, etc come with it?

2 tires are nearly intact 35 inch with like 400 miles. Front and rear bumper. I was able to use the winch for another car so alot of things were damaged that bad. Transfer, axel, trans all comes with it. Retrofitted for a 34 gallon tank I think

Metal does not disintegrate when touched
