Born and raised there, beg to differ.

Northern Minnesota is nice, southern Minnesota reminds me of Indiana which in that case I agree with you.

Back from Minnesota. Received word from Jim today that my top will ship Monday. It is for speculation right now, we will see. One of the clips that keeps the fuel mechanical linkage broke off so I need to replace that but she purred just fine after sitting for 4 months with high octane fuel with stabil. Anyways too damn hot down here to take her out but I might for our upcoming meeting. I am thinking of selling her again so I can try to get onto a 70 series...

If I do get the soft top, what are guys getting to treat the canvas? I don't have an interest in something that is going to make it hard to breathe when inside.

Well guess what? After two years my soft top should be here tomorrow! Hopefully its more than a fedex box....

On another note, does anyone know where a guy could get the C clips for the fuel mechanical linkage? You know the little clips that keep the links together. Thanks!

Excellent news.

Now you can never sell the old girl. If space is a problem, I can store it for ya after you move to Tanzania. I promise to keep the battery charged and the tires properly Armoralled. :hillbilly:

Well that sounds like a plan.... I need a big barn.... When is your next Friday meeting?

By the way I'm glad to see you have updated your book.... I thought you might be losing interest..

Well after nearly 2 years I have in my hands a black 7 window OCD soft top. Now I have to figure out how to add the Hardware.

Nope, never lost interest. Just haven't had any time to write. Hope to keep it rollin' now. Are you still reading the tale?

Speaking of time, if I can ever get the rustbucket put back together, I'll come to SA for one of your Saturday meetings. Or you could always come to our Friday WALCS meeting, but then you'd need someone to drive you home. ;)

x2 on the Congrats!

I thought OCD tops came with hardware attached? Did you ask Mr. Reed to leave off the hardware?

Yea' I know a few of us paid for the hardware kits but it appears I'll have to take a loss on that like everyone else. Oh well at least I have the fabric, right.?

Paul, I was capable of getting the doors back many months ago. Jim never took then out of the box you sent them to him in. Actually thinking about it he never sent me the extra fabric either. Anyways I really appreciated the deal you gave me on the doors. I ended up selling them and passing on the deal to a fellow mudder when I thought for sure I wasn't going to receive the top. How have you been my friend? It's been quite some time since we spoke last. I still have your number I'll have to give you a call next time I'm running down 30 in Arkansas...

Good to know you got the doors; if you told me, I had forgotten--more senior moments. Have been cleaning out some of the extra parts that I know I will never use; have a few parts for a '65 going to Austin tomorrow.

Any time you are passing through the area, give me a call. Keep posting updates; I've enjoyed your build

Paul

Sully, I'm glad to see that your top has finally arrived. The truck looks excellent, can't wait to see it with the top on.

So, you got the top!!! what hardware do you need? Footman loops? rail? and snaps?

Thanks mate, I really appreciate the compliments and will post a picture hopefully soon!

Ordered the Oem twist locks, they were $6.70 a piece. Also ordered the grommets. Hopefully I'll have the stuff by midweek but I'm doubting it. We will see...
