Asking 9,500.00 OBO. for more info call (714) 488-2100 or email erichbrock@gmail.com. pics upon request. Erich
The location is Orange, California, right next to Angel's Stadium. I am not the seller, just helping out a fellow mudder.
Erich showed me his FJ and although it wasn't what I was looking for, the rig is in excellent shape. Idles great, clean underneath and no drips that I could see. The original headliner is in fantastic shape, and it definitely looks like it had been in storage for 20+ years. Really really good condition overall.
The engine pulled great, but in the end I didn't feel it would be right to cut up a basically stock rig, to add the things that I wanted out of my future 40, so I passed. It's definitely a great rig that deserves to go to a mudder who will treat it right. You can find out more information about the rig on Erich's craigslist post while it's up:
(no longer working link, so I removed)
Again, I'm not the seller, so just my opinion based on a test drive and talk with the owner.
No idea what happened. The link worked perfectly on craigslist yesterday, and my cached copy of the page still works. But if I try it in a different browser it now shows up as the acura ad. Strange. here is the cut and paste of the text of the add (no idea how long the images will work on this cut and paste):
I am selling a 1972 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. The vehicle is mostly original. Its got original paint, original interior, original engine and drivetrain. The motor was rebuilt approx. 1500 miles ago by Manafre. The motor is very strong and runs well around town and on the freeway. The transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't pop out of any gear. Transfer case and four wheel drive system work flawlessly. The vehicle has a four inch lift by Safari Springs of Canada. It aslo has 33x12.5x15 BFG Allterrain tires. Tire and suspension upgrades done approx one year ago. The vehicles interior is all original. I recovered the front seat to factory specifications using photographs as a reference. I have the two factory jump seats for the rear. They have not been recovered and are completely original. The original headliner that came with the vehicle is still in the top! The dash is all original without any modifications. To my knowledge the top has never been off the vehicle. It looks as if the factory seal between the top and body is still there. When I replaced the suspension, I took the opportunity to scrape, sand, clean, and paint the entire underside of the vehicle. The frame, axles, and underside of the body has all been meticulously cleaned and repainted semi gloss black. The underside of the body was re-undercoated. Everything works on the car mechanicaly and otherwise. The car runs very well. These cruisers are becoming harder and harder to find in this untouched condition. This car is perfect for a complete restoration or a fun family weekend wheeler. Looking for it to go to a good home. I am asking 9,500.00 and I am negotiable. Reason for selling: Looking for CLEAN FJ60 or Range Rover Classic. Partial trades accepted. Will send more pictures upon request. Dont let this one get by you!
