1971 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. A previous owner had started a restoration and replaced the engine with a Ford 302 V8 and mounted the body on to a 72 Bronco chassis. Frame is clean and the tub and body panels are all solid no rot or rust holes nor patches.

It has a 3 speed on the column shift. 4WD works. Runs and drives fine. Good base for a body restoration or to just make into a fun trail off road build. I do have top sides and the hatch all with good glass. No top cap or side doors. No heat in it.

Has some things to be fixed which I'll be fixing in the meantime until sold. This may affect asking price.
Had a mechanic look over it to see what needs to be fixed:
Exhaust Leak in manifold back
Need a parking brake re linked
Replace center body mounts
Fix rear breaks axle seals
Fix front drivers wheel bearing (loose)

Asking price is $7500 as is.

My question - how is it titled?

Some updated pics.

Can't seem to edit the original post. Have been doing some minor repairs and upgrades.
Interior was bed lined.
Installed 31" Duratracs and Pro-Comp wheels
Bought some jump seats from a 73 and had frames painted and seats recovered.
Had a roll bar fabricated and installed
Had a jerrycan mount holder fabricated and installed.
Added a bikini top.

Currently having the steering shaft replaced.

Also bought a set of hard doors, a wiring harness and pull switches as parts to go along with the hard top sides and hatch for any potential buyer that wants to do a more complete restore or build.

These improvements will affect the original asking price.

10/16/2020 Updated Ad Info:

Selling my 1971 FJ40.

Note: This 1971 FJ40 body is mounted to a 1970 Ford Bronco frame with a Ford 302 V8 motor. This was done buy a previous owner. Drive/Powertrain/axels is all Ford Bronco. It runs and drives great (for non-power steering suv). Also is Titled in VA as a Toyota FJ40. Three on the tree manual transmission.

Since owning I have done the following:
New steel pro-comp wheels and 31” Goodyear Duratrac tires.
Added custom built roll bar
Added a custom built Jerry Can holder
Added Jump seats from 1974 FJ and had recovered.
Added a bikini top
Had the interior tub bedlined.
Just had the steering column refurbished with new steering shaft and shifter linkage.

Additional parts:
I have acquired set of doors
Have the sides and hatch for the hardtop but needs the top cap.
Have a wiring harness and dash pull switches. Current set up has basic toggle switches for lights and electrical etc.
Have a heater and blow for refurbishing (there is no heater installed currently) Also there are aftermarket heaters available that may be more cost effective than restoring a factory unit.

My interest in restoring to more original state has moved on to other interests. This is great for driving as is in the warmer times of year. Someone with more resources and mechanical know how could further restore more properly ore drive it as is.

Since numerous improvements and part additions and acquisitions have occurred since my original post The asking price has increased.
