What's that raised area on the driver's rear quarter?

Answers:

When it was painted? By my eye, the roof was given a fresh coat within the last few years, but before I purchased it. On the body, most of the paint you see is original, but with spot touchups done here and there.

Bump/bulge on rear driver's corner? I wondered the same thing when I was thinking of buying this one - the seller told me they used to have a little step/stool thing that would hook on there and from using it over the years caused that bulge. I've never seen such a thing myself but I carefully examined the interior of the corner/outside of the corner etc looking for rust repair or bondo (with a magnet) etc and its solid on both sides.

I wish this were in my garage!! Definitely Looks like ( maybe ) quite a few touch-up spots? Hard to tell from these pics, but I see what looks like some overspray on the door limiter and also wires through the firewall near heater and a few hoses in the engine area have a red hue — Going to air cleaner? Still a nice cruiser in my view, but original paint seems to be more and more rare these days. Good luck in your sale!!
