What rear brakes do you have? What their history?
They’re small GM metric. Calipers are original to the truck when I bought it, so probably fairly old. Pads and rotors are new. Wondering if the bend in the brackets is flipped. This rear axle is different than what was in it when I bought it. Red brackets are the old axle.

Swapped muffler to a specter Offroad OEM hoping to quiet things down. It’s exactly what I took off and it’s no quieter.

Also found the front of my brand new transmission appears to be leaking, so the saga continues.

Swapped in a Howell supplied fuel filter instead of the generic one I had in there. Hoping that works out some of the lugging stumbling I’m getting. And the hard start is concerning.

Still trying to figure out a solution on the rear brakes. I’m starting to think the calipers are just not up to the task of the pressure put out by the hydroboost and are sticking. What a headache that dang hydroboost has been!

Trying to figure out why my clutch is engaging so low. Finally have a new master cylinder on there that works, but looking at the clutch assembly itself raises some questions.

There’s at least 1/4in gap between the throw out bearing and the pressure plate. Probably closer to 1/2in. This doesn’t seem right to me, and makes sense why there so much pedal travel before anything happens.

The clutch fork pivot ball was installed on the drivers side, which is the opposite of where it was on my 45 when the 45 was using this bellhousing. I’m wondering if in the install, a different fork was used, or the pivot ball is really not interchangeable from one side to the other, as the machine inside the bellhousing is different and this one is at an angle that I’m not in love with. There’s also significant between the fork and the pivot ball when the clutch is released. These are best photos I’ve got of the situation.
