Hey there, I have a question and need help. I have a pair of NOS new oem toyota pig fenders that came with my project. They have holes punched in them for emblems BUT I don't think they are the right holes for the early model emblems? I am trying to figure out if I need to weld the holes up before sending the truck to the paint shop? and then redrill and set the emblems in place after I get it back from paint? My truck and emblems are from a 1970 fj55, and they are 2 pieces. thanks for the help.

Could they be later fenders? Thus the different holes?

I'd be tempted to run the emblems that will fit those holes.

My second choice would be to fill in those holes, grind the posts of your 1970 emblems and use adhesive after your paint has cured (3 months)

A '70 would have the side lights on the fender as well. Does your fenders have those side light holes?

thanks guys, yes I think they are NOS later style fenders, the early emblems don't fit, so I think they must accept the later plastic style emblems. I think I have decided to simply use later style emblems as I am not too jazzed on welding on NOS new fenders. I was told too that the later style emblems are still available new so the truck won't be all 1970 original but I really don't care. I do not have the cutouts for the front markers.
