Ok, I assume these things, indent balls, are just rusted in place. I had to hit them with a punch several times to compress them so I could get the lever off. But, now how do I get them uncompressed?

Both indent-cup/sides (that you punched in) are held in place by shift mount. There is only a small spring in between the indent cup pins that shoots out (and lose) if you aren't careful-normally. They should just fall out.

do the 1972 Production Year folks know that they NOW have a 100% Period Correct TOYOTA Japan Spec. parts option on the Table

now ?

Matt, do you sell the female connector for this? I just got a new assembly from the dealer, but it doesn't have the connector like this one. Just loose bullet connectors.

I wish I knew this before I bought the other one...lol. Do you know if anyone sells those 6 pin connectors?

cooler man

return the incorrect one and PM me ill help you out in any way i can

matt
Unfortunately I don't think I can return it...I've already tapped the threads for it. Unless the two parts can be broken up?

i have NEVER seen or heard of personally a TOYOTA Genuine part that had to be FIELD Threaded in any way ever by the consumer at any level ?
Are the ones you have threaded? If not, you'll see that a 10x1.25 bolt will not fit in that opening.

i can check later and report back

but like i said

TOYOTA NEVER sold any parts you had to or have to create Threads with a tap or die that i have ever heard of ?
