They push all they way thruOk, I assume these things, indent balls, are just rusted in place. I had to hit them with a punch several times to compress them so I could get the lever off. But, now how do I get them uncompressed?

It's circled in this picture. They don't come tapped....at least mine didn't. It's a 10x1.25 thread pitch.
Are the ones you have threaded? If not, you'll see that a 10x1.25 bolt will not fit in that opening.i have NEVER seen or heard of personally a TOYOTA Genuine part that had to be FIELD Threaded in any way ever by the consumer at any level ?
