I unreservedly blame my wife. She is constantly putting boxes, toys, clothes, etc in the garage from the house. Last Saturday night I cleaned my garage and work bench (my social life is somewhat less exciting since having a son). During the week she covered my bench with boxes, a set of curtains and a bunch of bulk stuff from Costco. Now I can't even see my work bench and barely the tools behind it.

I envy guys with clean garages.

Well, I envy girls with clean garages (which Annie deserves) too.

Stripped down the rest of the tub. I'll be off tomorrow due to weather... I'll get the rest of the rust repair done and wipe down.

Thanks, 4" and 7" wire wheels mainly. 3" DA with 80 grit..

SMART A$$..... Ya I know, I'll try and get the pencil grinder out with smaller wheels to get the rest..

If I ever see orange again it'll be too soon..

Been a bit since the last activity... work... anniversary... you know yada yada yada...

Tore the doors down to the shells today... they took me about 6 hours to get apart. Had to heat up every bolt on them to free them. Then the channels were a PITA as well and had to persuade them out... But they are 100% intact and in good shape now.

Just so everyone knows.. YES, the window channels will be restored TOO!!...

Going through all the panels and final dressing them while the tub filler sets and sanding on it... Getting ready for primer is a tedious process at my place..

A few pics..

Well I'm waiting on the weather to warm up to shoot the epoxy for Jas on this 40. A 60 degree minimum is a few days away.. However, it gave me time to strip the firewall and lay some high heat flat black on it. I was able to get the garage to 55 degrees. It took awhile for it to flash out, but turned out pretty nice for a firewall IMO.

That looks awesome J! Hope the weather warms up for you, otherwise we'll go to plan B

Got the epoxy laid down this afternoon. Only had a limited window with the weather and my schedule.

Overall for a backyard job it is a very nice protective coat and the final sanding and high build primer can be put off until Jas has a chance to find a reputable painter in Austin.. (shouldn't be too hard, IMO..)

The Monstaliner will be here in a couple of days and I will get the inner tub done so Jas can come get the pieces.

A few pics as usual...Enjoy fellas...
