I'd go with gas problem first. I sometimes forget to adjust my flow on mine and it will splatter and be nasty.
Are your rollers coated with a film? causing it to hop? might try checking the tension on the rollers by the spool that feed the wire thru the gun. then check depending on machine the tension on the actual spool. if all that fails check your leads for something loose. the ground clamp might be loose? or the hot to the gun might be loose. What machine? 125 Lincoln from Home depot or welding shop? It's my understanding the home depot version has plastic rollers and the welding shop has steel.

It is a 125 from a welding supply store years ago when they were good. The only thing I have not done yet is pull the roller wheels to check them. I redid the ground, new liner, new nozzle, adjusted the flow etc. I did look at the rollers and sort of dismissed them, but will go ahead and pull them off and check. Just don't understand why all the sudden it would change bc nothing really did change. I called a repair shop and he said if all else fails it could be a diode, whatever that does. He did say it could be expensive if that is the case. Sucks

No measurable updates other than the reason's why my attention has been diverted lately. The usual, health, family and other projects. I found a Porsche project, or should I say it found me. Total Barn Find. 1968 912, 3rd owner, original books records, window sticker etc. Same owner for 33 years. Sitting in his garage for over 10 years. Every single option listed on the window sticker is still with the car and it has not been molested. Very rare to find a Porsche that has not been hacked on. The PO was a Porsche mechanic and did things right until he had medial issues and parked the car. Car is actually in really good shape compared to others I have seen. Will require only minimal rust repair, especially compared to my LV. Need floor pans, which will be a simple compared to what I have been doing on the LV. Although, I will not be doing them any time soon. Goal is to get this car back on the road and then tweak it. Very original, almost all parts there. One crappy repaint, but original color. Should be a fun break from the LV. And I certainly needed another project. ;)

Here is the thread I started on Pelican.

... but the Porsche will probably still be going. Though the rust repair and metal work is almost 100% completed. At least something is rust free.

Never thought that this little German baby ;) need such a lot of work, but looks good so far, think you can start the rebuild of your LV in spring , the 45 need a bit more attention ;)
Cheers

Generally, a pretty fair amount of chat is overlooked in these forums, but there hasn't been a post on subject in some time now.

No chat bc zero activity. All energy has gone towards the restoration of my '68 912.

Peter, yes I am a PCA memeber. I would love to win the 911T give away. Very cool.

Did you ever figure out the problem with the Lincoln 125?

I have a old Miller that started to weld poorly all of a sudden like it had very little amperage and the weld puddle looked terrible.
I removed the covers, cleaned things up, and found that a wire to one of the large capacitors had come loose. All I needed to do was tighten it up. It was attached with a small bolt. After that, the welder was back to like new weld quality.

If you do decide to go inside the welder, make sure you have it unplugged. Also, capacitors hold a charge for a long time and can hurt you even after the welder is unplugged.
