Mark,
I'm running a desmoged 1979 2F with factory power steering in my LV. I used Jim C's pully/belt tensioner which replaces the smo pump . It is the way to go.

Looking great. The plated bolts are very nice.

These things come apart pretty quickly, but take forever to put back together, huh!

I totally agree. Forever plus some time.

Can someone post Jim C's email, I can not find it in my stuff. Thanks

Mark-

After seeing the pics on this last page....I know why you have little money left for the floors! :)

Your chassis looks AMAZING!! Truly a work of art there!

I'll see what I can do for a truck to ATL....I may send someone down south from CO just to get him out of town to find freight elsewhere.

Talk to you on Monday!!

Have a great weekend!

Floor pan

I met up with Mike D aka treeroot, and picked up my floor pan. As Jason stated, they are very nice and look like the factory made them. I built a crate at my brother-in-laws cabinet shop to get the pan shipped back to Atlanta with the help of CoolCruiserJeff. Before sealing it up in the crate I sanded down some of the light surface rust that had formed on some of the welds and gave the entire pan a coat of primer so it will keep until I need it. After spending time with the pan and seeing the fine workmanship, I am very glad that I will not have to worry too much with that part of the truck. I will be able to put more energy into the "many" other rusted spots. :D:D I will be working on the sheet metal press for the rear quarters instead of the floor pans.

wow....new floor. that would be nice to have.

I do believe it is the only way to go especially once you calculate the cost of time. The material is always the cheap part, labor will kill you. Do the math and it is easy to see. Treeroot has really done us a favor with this part.

Mark-

The crate looks really good. It'll hold up just fine for shippng.

I'll call you on Tuesday morning and disuss the details.

Plan on picking up sometime on Tuesday/Weds, and you'll have it by Friday!

G' nite!

I wanted to report that the floor pan arrived safely in Atlanta in an amazingly short time thanks to the efforts of ColoCruiserJeff. He really went out of his way to make the shipment completely effortless. He even personally drove from Denver to Boulder to pick up the crate/floorpan at my brother-in-laws shop. It arrived on Monday Atlanta just a one short week from when I crated it. It was delivered in a small cargo van directly to my shop. Thanks very much CCJ, you are a true Cruiser lover. If anyone needs help with shipping he is your man.
