You do know there are original equipment electric wiper motors and switches available, right?
Yes sir when I looked into it they range from $250 to $500 and every one has mixed reviews so I decided for that kind of money I'll make something here.
This was less than $100 and should work fine for this pickup.

Hot rodding at its finest, not just buying parts, making things work 👍🏻

not just buying parts, making things work
This is exactly why I prefer to work on my own cars like this one versus working on cars for customer's.
Hard to justify spending 5 hours screwing around making something cool with $80.00 worth of parts when Amazon sells a Chinese part that will work for $230.00 and someone else is paying the bills.
I like the uniqueness of making my own stuff and it gives me an excuse to be out in the shop and not in the house watching TV..

Classic Parts sells refurbished originals. They stand behind their parts. I know the owner personally.

Ok @bobm I've been working on a view chingaderas for the 59...

I bought an igloo cooler mount and modified it to fit my little 2 gallon cooler then rusted it up to match the rest of this pickup. It will get mounted on the service body when I get closer.

We're probably just going with the afternoon cooler on this one!

So I fought for two days trying to get symmetrical seats to fit on asymmetrical mounts, look right and be comfortable...
Seems silly to cut up $5000 seats to fit in a $4000 pickup.... But here we are.

Now that the seat location is settled on I know how much room I will have behind them..

So I can start hiding all the crap that makes the pickup work..
Yes @bobm I made the back panels out of stainless steel cuz I'm lazy and I didn't want to paint them...

Between going out of town, getting the Diamond T ready to sell and getting the flu that's going around I haven't really gotten very much done on this one.

I extended the coil pack wiring harnesses to exit out of the rear of the valve covers instead of the middle to help hide all the big connections..

Dash is wired and tested and the new windshield wiper motor is also wired and tested...
