it would be great for those of us who don't know the wheels by the pictures...if people would post details on the wheels in question along with the pics....or even go crazy and go back and edit the posts to include the details... Wheel brand, specific size, specific back spacing, specific model...etc.

Just a note.. I know it would help me.

Its like many things....the "devil" is in the details.... I think it would be helpful to many people who are looking for aftermarket wheels etc.

Please consider this...

My details were originally in post #7 of this thread, but point taken. Post with pics edited to include details.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far. Keep em coming Please.

Mickey Thompson's Classic Baja Lock looks like they may work (on Paper) 16x8 3.625 backspace. Anyone heard of anybody running these successfully?

Yup those will work perfect. I ran this exact same wheel on my old 84 FJ60 and had zero rub. I ran the non-lock wheels though as I like them more. Thing is, I guess in the last year MT stopped making this wheel in the non-lock.

Here is a few pictures of the 84 FJ60 with the MT Classics in 16x8 with a 3.625 b/s. FYI, tires are 35x12.5 Creepies, lift is about 4". MAF shackle reversal, 2.5" OME heavies in rear, mediums in front. Longer shackles in rear to level it out. SUA and zero rub with 35's!

Man that truck looked sharp! Every time I look at pictures of it, I miss it. :frown:

nice 60...what do you mean by "non-lock"

Non simulated bead lock. I personally do not care for a simulated bead lock.

Quick Update.

The "Mickey Thompson BAHA Classic Lock Wheels" do not seem to fit. Even though they are 16x8 with 3-5/8 backspacing the bore diameter is incorrect.
I just spoke with a rep and he said The Bore Diameter is 106.09mm.
Unfortunately a FJ60 needs a 108mm.

So scratch those off the list.

The old "Mickey Thompson Classic Lock" (DISCONTINUED) wheels appear to have a 4" backspacing as well. So they won't work without spacers.

Slim Pickings. Seems only
Raceline Rockcrushers, Eagle Alloy 100s & F5s are viable options at this point in time.

Well I found a set of the (Discontinued) Mickey Thompson Classic IIs after hours of scouring the internet and 20 + phone calls and several headaches. :o Who knew it could be that difficult to find a set of 16" rims.

Please keep this thread alive as I know there are many others looking for wheels that meet the criteria. :)

Well back on the hunt again. Wrong Wheels delivered today. Don't ever use www.stylintrucks.com Worst experience. No one there knows whats going on at any given time. They shipped the wrong wheels with the correct part number label on the box. Must not be to good at cataloging correct part numbers.

Anyways long story short. 2 Weeks of waiting for a shipment just to send it back and wait another two weeks for a refund.

Guess my lift, tires, shocks and everything else will have to sit in my garage for who knows how long until I find rims. Almost want to start a rim company just for FJs. sigh.......

-End of Rant :)

Are you going to try the Eagle Alloy 100's next? A bunch of folks in the thread recommended them

Yeah I see the eagle alloys, but summit racing is always back ordered like 3 months. Pretty much pointless ordering anything through them In my experience. I tried with the rockcrushers before the Mickey Thompson ordeal and just ended up cancelling it. No Faith in Summit.

Gonna have to track down either 100s or rockcrushers from somewhere. Starting the whole process over again. :bang:

Thanks. I'll try and give the a call tomorrow. Anyone ever ran these or heard if they work?

Well I finally got wheels. These 100% fit with no spacers. :)

Brand: Level 8
Model: Tracker
Size: 16" x 8.5"
Bore Diameter: 108mm
Backspacing: 3.75
Finish: Satin Black

These clear the calipers and have about a 1/8" between the tie rod ends.

I was seriously thinking about these ones...but thought someone said they need to be run with spacers. Do you have any pictures of them on your rig yet? Would love to see how they look.
