13BT run on - VSV - -or anything else to look for? (2 Viewers)

Hi Guys,

I have a BJ74 with 13BT, the engine is running on and the only way I can shut it off is manualy by flipping a shutter on the intake. I had this problem once before on a bj74 after I took it through a carwash - was easily shut off by pulling a vacuum hose off one of the VSV's and reattaching it (the problem cleared up after it dried out). So this time I tried the same thing and it didnt shut off, but funny enough it was taken through a carwash before it happened again.

My bet is a VSV -- will check with multimeter in the morning, anyone have any other ideas?

the VSV shorts out when wet, move to higher mounting...
also the lever on the side works great to shut the engine down...
