Sorry, I couldn’t recall 100% how you achieved it. I just knew that it had been done, and done very well might I add.I sold the truck a year after the project was done. I didn’t chop the back half of my 100. The donor pillar was used for measurements & to achieve the cleanest transition.
At a high level tailgate hinges were removed, welded nuts inside and bolted the doors up. There was some welding/fab work for the drip rail & bottom strikers. Final step is adjusting the doors so they close properly using factory shims.

This is a cool project for sure BUT someone educate me....Why would you want some swing out doors that serve no purpose compared to the original setup which provide you with a seat, table, and sun block shade lol
