Hello all, wondering if any fellow diesel owners have ran across this issue concerning the motor cutting out and stumbling like it’s being fuel starved or running out of fuel. It’s a fj40 with the 12ht motor swapped into it. The problem occurs every time it’s being driven for about 10 minutes, only on the front tank, under the passenger seat. When the problem happens it’s immediately switched over to the rear auxiliary tank runs perfectly fine. Now I thought maybe it was a vapor lock issue and I drilled a puny hole in the gas cap for any tank pressure not to build up. Front tank was full. This again occurred. Built this diesel beast for my good friend and it’s driving us both bonkers being I live in a different state. Trying to trouble shoot over the phone. I run the 12 ht turbo diesel in my fj40 and 45 and never had this type of problem. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sucking a bit of air from that front tanks pickup maybe?
Could try a bit of clear hose and watch for bubbles
