The LX470 sucks at off-roading has we all know. The Toyota Sienna does way better off-road plus gets better mpg. I'm going to Longo Toyota 2morrow to trade in my 1999 Lexus LX470!

Does ARB make a bullbar for the Sienna?

You guys keep dumping on the Sequoia. Granted, it's a bigger beast than the 100 series, build a bit cheaper, smaller running gear, etc.

However, I'll say this. 2005 had the VVTI V8 and there are many more suspension choices available for the Sequoia including adjustable coilovers and drop bracket kits.

Statistically speaking, there are many more Sequoias belligerently tailgating and cutting too closely to me in traffic on a daily basis, compared with 100 Series.

Therefore, I pronounce the Sequoia to be more contemptible than the 100 Series.

Toyota shows that from a interior volume it is like 30% larger. How do you explain that?

The sequoia is 11" longer, 2.5" wider and almost 2.5" taller. ALso with a 6" longer wheelbase.

We looked at that and the LC some time ago and the sequoia was quite a bit bigger inside. However it seems to be a bit of a handful on the trail.

I drive a LC. I lurked around here for a few weeks before I bought a year ago, and realized quickly what the differences were. I never looked at Sequoias, and I doubt most of you did either.

The Sequoia was never intended to compete with the LC. The engineering, design, materials, and construction are totally different. It's there to compete with the Tahoe/Expedition, which it does really well. And my guess (although uneducated) is that a lot of the Seq buyers are GM/Ford converts who, up to that point, couldn't buy a full-size Japanese SUV for a similar price.

How many times a day do I see a Sequoia grill WAAAAAAY too close in my rearview mirror, vs. how many times a day do I see a 100 Series following dangerously closely behind me?

No comparison. The Sequoia loses many times over.

Coupla years ago, my parents' friends pulled their new Sequoia into my parents' driveway while I was up visiting. They're all like "We got ourselves a Land Cruiser too, for a lot less than you did... about 15 grand less. We love it and it's a lot bigger than yours..."

I was like Uhhh... I'm going to the pub now...

Ok, since the beginning of this thread ive started paying more attention to the Sequoia drivers with an un-bias opinion. I will have to second, or third or whatever it is, the motion that the drivers of Sequoia as a majority are worse than 100 drivers.

When im cruising down the left lane on the highway, 100s move out of my way when i come up behind them, and sequoias cut me off. Around town, 100 owners will stop in the road to let me turn, while Sequoia drivers just motor on down.

Now, i could just be paranoid but im trying to take this view in a neutral position. I think, for the most part, sequoia drivers think they have a monster and everyone will move out of their way.

Now, I KNOW for SURE there are definately people out there who are very respectful while driving their seq but, around here it just seems the LC/LX drivers are much nicer. Maybe its because im driving a 100 with them. I wonder what would happen if i was driving a Sequoia around all the time, if the 100s would start to cut me off. Me donno.

I have noticed that all Sequoia drivers are talking on cell phones and putting make-up on while driving. Also statistics show that Sequoia drivers are in 15 times as many accidents s the average 100 series driver. Plus the Sequoia has been linked as a cancer causing agent in California, haven't you seen the warning labels on 'em?

I responded to an accident when i was doing EMS. Lady in a seqouia ran a red light, t-boned a camry and pushed it into a lexus ES300. Talk about Toyota Motor Company being happy!

We had to cut the doors off the Camry because she sandwiched the car and the doors couldnt open anymore.
