UPDATE...

Time for a little update on this project. I finally got around to bending up my out riggers for my sliders over the weekend. A special thanks goes out to Rob Ridgway from Tornado Alley Cruisers for letting me use his bender!

I'm using 2" tubing for the out riggers. I prefer the look of the 2" over the 1.75" due to the mass size of our rigs. After bending the tubes at each end I then cut them at the correct angle. No scientific method in doing so, just cut and grind, cut and grind until I got it just how I wanted it.

I will be adding two 2" tube gussets to each side once I get the main out rigger welded on. The I will re-primer the whole slider again and paint!

Added some pictures for you guys!

Very nice job on the home-brew! Clean, professional look.

I have officially completed my 100 slider build project! :bounce: Spent sometime over the past week welding the outriggers onto the main slider. I then took advantage of a nice hot day over the weekend to prep, prime and paint them all up. I did make the mistake of purchasing Gloss Black when I had every intention of painting them in Simi Gloss Black. I may end up pulling them in a few months to re paint, but for now they are look great!

I'm very happy with how they turned out. Enjoy the pictures.

They look awesome, good job.

Did you jack the truck up from the sliders and check of deflection?

Thanks!!! I sure did! I get far less than a quarter inch of deflection with plenty of room for further movement if needed.

Zane-meister - f'in awesome looking sliders. I am NO WAY that handy with a welder and am getting the Slee non-step. Yours look almost identical, but I'm sure they aren't - how do they differ from the Slee's??

NICE WORK Bob Villa!

Fish,

Thank You! The only thing that is really similar to Slee's sliders is the 2x3 square tube. I used 2" tubing got my out riggers and slee uses 1.75" tubing for his out riggers. My support brackets are built up more like Hanna's 80 Sliders with the larger triangle brackets.

I did use Slee's non step sliders as a baseline for my design, but did my own tweaks and design to fit what I wanted. I'm VERY happy with them as well. Cant wait to test them out a Tornado Alley Cruisers national event coming up at Flat Nasty!

Thanks

Zane
