Does any have good pics or build threads for sleeping setups? As in sleeping inside the 100 while camping/exploring. I am just curious how well this works if at all. Thanks!

let's stay on the straight and narrow, OK...!

HAHA!! I am still ok with crapping in the woods, but I'd like to start sleeping in the truck.

Mostly for the better half since she has trouble with real cold weather. If we could sleep in the truck I could start the engine before bed and get it nice and toasty for her. That would at least help to start the night off warm for her. It is also nice to get off the ground... Thanks and keep the suggestions coming.

Try building a drawer system in the cargo area so that when you fold down the second row seats the they lay flat with the top of the drawers. Throw a double air mattress on top. Fits and works Perfect! Thats what i did before i got my RTT.

Or just get a RTT!

If you don't need the rear seats for your trip I'd simply take them all out and you've got plenty of room for an air mattress & a couple of bags.

The seats come out very easily; 3rd row came out the day I brought it home & I took my pass side 2nd row out so my dogs can get in/out nice & smooth.

A buddy has a Wrangler Rubicon and is always on me about what his Jeep can do that my 100 would struggle with (good natured crap); I tell him to wait til we're camping and a downpour hits-- I'll be comfy/cozy :smokin: in my 100 while he's praying for no leaks in his tent.

Yea an RTT is planned down the road. Maybe even a Adventure style trailer, but now I am really dreaming. A drawer system is a must and something I will be doing for sure.

Yea I hear ya... We have the FJ Cruiser to go where mostly Jeeps go with the exception of a few trails. The LC is going to be more of an expedition/camping rig. I have been the guy praying for no leaks many times hahaha!

Man that setup is perfect! i really think we are going to set the FJ to handle the more technical trails which will work well with the short wheelbase and Locker + ATRAC. Now I am starting to lean more towards a 100 and set it up as an expedition vehicle for extended camping and exploring. An RTT is the way to go I believe. Thanks for the great pic!

Owned the Technitop before. For my use, climate and wheeling conditions, the Columbus is much more suited.

^^^ Ahh yes... I love that the 100 can tow with ease. That is another big selling point with me. The better half eventually wants small camper, and the 100 should be up to the task. That is a little ways off though, but it is never too late to plan for the future. Thanks!
