Support the guys that support the 100 series crew.

That's Dissent and BIOR and 4x4labs.

Incidentally and fortunately they are also the best.

You'll be buying a high quality product from a high quality individual.

I didn't order it, but I was quoted $1240 shipped to my house (on the east coast). Weight was quoted as 170-185 w/ swingouts. According to the vendor, you need to drill a couple of holes in the rear frame rails to bolt it on. No hitch provision that I can see, but there are bolt holes for a pintle-hitch style receiver (no idea if it lines up with the crossmember bolt holes).

SoFlo seems to have two different styles for the rear. The ladder/single jerry can combo:

...and the dual jerry can holder:

They look like two totally different bumpers to me. The ladder version looks like it has more ground clearance but lacks any recovery points. Different lights as well.

4x4 Labs kit
Bump it off-road is $1050 powder coated plus shipping. So would be competitive with soflo but no swing outs

Just picked up a Bump It off-road rear bumper from a fellow mudder.

Comparably equipped (assembled, powdercoated, dual swingouts w/ tire carrier, ladder and can carrier), all of the well-known players (Slee, ARB, BIOR, 4x4L, Dissent et al) are in the $2400-$2600 plus shipping range, which says a lot about what it actually costs to build one. SoFlo is strictly an importer. It's luck of the draw for what you get in terms of steel quality, weld quality and fit-and-finish. That being said, there is a HUGE price savings to be had, and if you're ok with what you are getting for your money that is a serious advantage for those who don't need or care about every inch of departure angle or strength or weight savings.

From those pics, I don't see any benefit over the stock rear? That ugly thing hangs WAY down. And in other pics I saw of those online (I'd looked at them before), it looks like they were welded by blind people. Nasty ugly welds.

I think that's an insult to blind people! But seriously, it's a benefit if you a) want more protection than the flimsy plastic bumper cover b) want to get your tire out from under the vehicle c) want a ladder and/or jerry can holder for literally half the price. The double jerry can version does seem to hang way down. The ladder version looks like it offers at least some additional clearance over stock.

I've had many inquiries on these new items! It's a good thing and sounds like people are already looking for a new look with good quality and strength!

Rack will be a cross between a Prinsu and FrontRunner. NO 80/20 extrusions... All CNC bent and cut steel and aluminum. Each rack will come with 8 - 5" wide cross tracks (all 8 are slotted and 6 aluminum T-slot track sections to mount where you like) with an e-track strap insert on each end of the cross track. Straps and clips will be available for purchase from me or sourced outside from several suppliers. Looking into Ti fasteners (bolts, washers, nuts, etc..) as well.

Front bumper will resemble my 200 series front.

Rear is a cross between Esme's (my 100) and an updated design TBA. No crossmember cutting (includes 2" accessory receiver) Straight bolt on base, in one single unit.

Slee has done more for the 100 series "crew" than anyone over the years, just because they are focusing their limited event time on 200 series currently doesn't mean they haven't in the past. They were the first to do many things on the 100 series. Some of the companies you list hadn't seen a 100 by the time Slee was cranking out parts for it. That said, everyone you mentioned makes a great product.

I've had several built cruiser and for overall quality, fit, and finish, you won't beat a Slee bumper IMO

If you want something cheaper, get a local fabricator to build you one. This one was built by Joe Williams in Maryville, Tn and he's built several for MUD guys, including one for a MUD member in Jackson, WY. You won't get the quality of Slee but you will save some money, it's about half the price.

I have had my Slee rear bumper since 2008 when there was not but a couple of choices. It is a great bumper and has stood up to dropping down a ton of ledges. It is built like a tank.
Have been up to Dissent and seen the great work Ben @benc does and highly recommend his products. All of his products are well thought out and engineered. His welds are works of art. I will be getting his skidplates in the future and still thinking I might dump my ARB front for one of his.
If you are going for the most departure and approach angle bumpers or want to weld it yourself, 4x4 Labs is the one to check out. I am always impressed when I see one.

For the $$$. My votes still for 4x4 Labs weld kit. If you can weld, cut, and fit a bit.
