A few more updates as this gets closer to a production-ready system.

The biggest one: the production-style harness is now working as intended and has now proven a fully plug-and-play installation.

On the mechanical side, @LJE has offered to help with the final industrial design work on the faceplate/bezel. He'll be receiving the first completed prototype in the next couple weeks. He has been extremely generous with his time and expertise in the industrial design. Now... I'm specifically looking for 03-05 and 07 LX470s, preferably within reasonable driving distance of North Alabama.

I would also like the beta group to include different vehicle configurations rather than testing five basically identical trucks.

In particular, I'm looking for:
  • Factory MFD/navigation display, both with and without Grom
  • Aftermarket head unit: Android, Teyes, Sony, Pioneer, etc.
  • Aftermarket amplifier / modified audio system, including trucks where the factory Mark Levinson amp has been removed or bypassed
To be clear, this project has nothing to do with the audio system itself. I'm specifically looking for different configurations so we can verify the HVAC controller behaves correctly across as many real-world setups as possible and identify any unforeseen installation or vehicle-network conflicts.

We've already encountered one unusual interaction with a Chinese Android head unit, which is exactly why I want the beta pool to include more than just completely stock trucks.

Again, I’m not near you. But if you can’t find another with the bypassed amp I can accommodate that. I bypassed the factory amp and have an aftermarket amp and subwoofer setup in mine.
