UPDATE FROM SHOTTS ON ROKLIMO:

Coming down the backside of Mount Lemmon...a MASSIVE BANG was heard from the right side. I mean MASSIVE. We barely limped home. Could hardy turn or we'd rip into our fender. After 195K of rough riding the PS torsion bar went...broke in half. All is well though. I had to grab another set of the SwayAway 1661 bars. I was in shock when I bought them...ONLY $199/set! WOW! In 2002 I paid $375...if you need T-bars...go get 'em. Happy wheeling!

Push it hard enough and you can be privileged to replace the rack&pinion steering about every 20-25000 miles like Mr Shotts.

Sure WAS true John. Back in the day. Now that I've done 2 trail runs in 4-years the rack is lasting far longer. Thanks for your great and hard work with TRAL. It's guys like you that keep the outsides great for others!

Ha ha and you said no problems with clearance on 35's. Looks like you proved it to yourself you were wrong as you finally made it to your bump stops.

Possible! Ya...when I turned into Peppersauce I heard the rubbing of the tread against the fender. I didn't bend it...so it's close for sure. But I didn't take any chances going home.

ANYBODY WANT 4 ALMOST NEW 315-75x16 BFG KO2's? We can talk. I am taking Roklimo down to 285's and reducing it to a 2" lift. We not want the better ride and power...since we don't run trails any more. shottscruisers@comcast.net

Great read! I learned a lot from this thread! Can't wait to get some 33s and sliders!

anyone have experience with the SPC UCA. after reading this thread im a little worried about it now. i have the SPC UCA Uninstalled. i was planning on doing a complete front end refresh and at 200$ more then stock i picked up the SPC in a kit.

Would you still stand by the 863 springs?

thanks so much

That’s the setup I’m running and I’ve had no issues yet with the SPCs. I’ve read the same stories but it seems to primarily be about the first series SPC released. The new design seems to work just fine.

Hello Arizona! I am SERIOUSLY thinking of selling Roklimo. I can't believe I'm writing this but we just don't use the beast. Haven't done a trail in FIVE YEARS. Any interest? shottscruisers@comcast.net
Haven't even thought of a selling price. It just got plugs, timing belt, new 33" KO2's...I lowered the front 1-inch but left everything else the same so 315's go on with simplicity...simple T-bar adjust. I have 3 extra CV joints and new starter in the box. Some brake pads too. It needs front seat covers and rear axle seals. Otherwise it's working awesome. I really need another long-range road car for work. The Corvette has 100K+ miles...crud, I don't know what to do. Get a Highlander or something else comfy for work trips. Crud! Website:

Was offered $20K 6-months ago. Been in 6 magazines...documentary DVD...but I couldn't sell it then...probably can't now...but I might.
I thought you were banned:ban:

And you didnt take it, very dumb. The truth is we all get 'offers' but when it come time to put up or shut up......

OMG! It is gone! We were really messed up seeing it drive away this morning. But I will say this...we can handle it. The buyer Epi is a GREAT guy. He saw Roklimo in one of the magazines as a 7-year old kid. Now it is his and he will use it like we DID but not like we've been. It doesn't deserve trips to McDonalds only. It deserves to WHEEL. Enjoy Epi!
