Not sure where you heard that RCV wants a minimum of 10 sets, but the shop that is going to be installing this kit on my 100 series knows that RCV will make me a custom axle, since they have connections there and have had RCV make custom axles before.
Any idea what this one off set of axles from rcv will cost?

Are you planning on cutting your fenders?

RCV will make axles for this from what I’ve been told / have researched.
I emailed RCV about some +3” axles as I’m having a custom LT kit built out currently by Savage_fab. I was told I need to order 10 sets before they will undertake it.

Also, there is a group buy going on for the LT kit I’m getting. There’s a few spots left. But I’m sure he would expand it if the interest is there.

It’s +3” kit, with 1” upper and lower uniballs, upgraded front frame pivot point, and upgraded inner and outer tie rods. Figuring out cvs now.

Are you saying RCV will make custom cvs for the right guy?

How am I supposed to decide between the Kamono and the Savage kits ugh haha
Nothing against the other guy, but savage_fab builds things to a heavy duty standard. He’s built buggies, and mutiple LT kits for various vehicle designs. I think his fab skills are excellent as well. Go check him out on IG.

I sent him a message with a long list of questions in order to figure out which path to go. Any idea when that kit will be ready to go? Not sure if we are talking weeks or months.

I'm on the Savage_Fab list. The more I research RCV, the worse it gets. Sounds like their red/orange boots are horrible with many lasting just 1k miles. As well, they tout a lifetime warranty that many reviewers have stated was not honored.
This is likely going to be an exercise in having OEM axles lengthened. Probably should do 3-4 of them at a time so a replacement(s) are always on hand. Dave mentioned he has someone that can do this.

Exciting times in the land of 100's o_O

Mind sharing the cost for that kit as well as how much you have to put down to get on the list and the expected timeline for completion?

I hope you’re right and I’m wrong. My buddy Zach is having a long travel kit designed for his 100 and he called rcv to order a +3” over stock and they wouldn’t make him just one set.
Spoke to Savage Fab today. Sounds like their kit is alot more progressed than Kamono's. Per my discussion with him, once he gets the first 10 kits sold, he has pretty strong confidence that RCV will make him axles. However, he has a fab guy that he will use as a backup.

I spoke to Dave at Savage and am #5 on his list.

I ran RCVs when I had my long-travel Tacoma. The silicone boots develop micro-tears. Be prepared to reboot very often. The boots last for like a month or two before grease starts spewing out. Unless you have a PT kit, maybe more frequently than a RWD Tacoma which was in 4x4 periodically.

This is not just me, it's common for tons of RCV CV owners.

My buddy has been running rcvs on his 200 for about a year and a half now without any issues. I wonder if they started doing something different recently?
