I'm only giving an opinion because you asked for votes.

I'm with nolen; It doesn't offend me as bad as I thought it would. That being said, I think the "turd in a punchbowl" effect would be minimized on a built cruiser with some bumpers/armor, etc... If you are going to leave the rest of it stock-ish, then the wheels may be a little out of balance with the rest. In other words, you may look like an android-toting 16-year-old who just wanted cool wheels to overcompensate for not having a real phone.
 
I just reclamped with hose clamps on my first 2. No vibrations.

Last one I got new boots and clamps. Kept old CVs

Did you do the diff drop on any of yours? Firemans is the small lift so I'm sure it's not needed.
 
Yep, just use hose clamps. If you are feeling OCD, put the screw adjusters for each clamp 180* out of phase with each other. Something like 2.5" for the axle shaft end and 4.5" for the bell end.
