So, those of you that have had multiple different sized tires on your 100......

What's the "sweet spot" size in your opinion?

My 295-70-18's (34's) are just a bit large for highway use. When I'm loaded this thing pulls hard but spends a bit more time in Drive than I prefer.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my tires while they have a bit of value left and go down in size.

I loved the looks of the 305's I had on my 03 but they followed the road a bit too much and must have been heavy because even though they are barely 33" they worked the truck too.

So it comes down to 275 or 285s.

Anyone run both?

Anyone want some 295 Terra Grapplers?

I like the look of a 28565-18 KO2

Not sure about the 18's but I just got a set of the BFG KO2's in 265/75R16s for about 9 bills out the door for my 3rd gen, getting them installed on Saturday.

Edit: 4wheel parts shows them at $248 ea. BFG is running a $70 mail-in rebate on a set of 4 right now.

So the front bumper and winch has changed the ride on my truck, which was expected. The AHC is handling it, but i'm getting brake dive on the front end, and the ride is way more rough. I have a feeling when I load it down with all my gear to go on a trip, it may not hold all the weight.

Nolen / Chris, and updates on those shocks?

Looks great, Andy. I know you have been waiting a long time for it too.

Thx man. Yeah I sent money in Feb. was worth the wait though.

I think it's gonna be just as functional too. It's completely modular. If I scratch or dent the wings or stinger I can unbolt them and repair, then bolt back on. And it only weighed 83lbs.

I'm pleased.

You might try new TB's in the mean time, if you haven't upgraded already.

It's an AHC truck. I've already tried conventional springs with bad results. Did some reading on doing same with TBars and found mixed results.

Gonna tinker w AHC this weekend. If I don't have it right toward the end of the month gonna have to make a move and rip it out.
