New battery and it starts right up. Thanks @wct49 & 49Tire.

I'm worried that I may have a lingering issue. The fuse for the radio & CLA in the dash keeps blowing. I'm afraid I have a short somewhere. Plan to use the CLA as little as possible for a while to test if the short is in there. Anyone know of a persistant issue that might cause that fuse to blow?

Where do I get that LED kit that you guys were telling me about at Crawl?

I just hit up Beno about that strip under my hood that I am missing.....

There were some other things that Bomar and Jason told me I must buy and I can't remember.....

Still have not taken my RTT off. Poser delux.

The reverse lights are a waste imo. The interior kit is awesome. It's obviously Chinese stuff but it works good. I just bought a few spares.

Any of you ever tow a 40 with a 100 series? How bad is it? Considering all options for a tow rig.

My 80 is not an option for towing it. I hauled it back from Butch's after the crawl with the 80 and it was brutal.

Late on the input, but I towed my (rather large) 40 with the LX470 once from Dallas to Roundup, then home to Houston. I then sold said LX470 to JT and bought the Tundra. I didn't like towing with it at ALL. It was under powered for the weight I was pulling. Now, I think I was probably at 7000 pounds-ish with a wide trailer and the big 40 so heavier than a regular trailer and 40, but still. I miss the LX, but love towing with the Tundra.

Thanks, I can find my way to this forum, but still having a hard time finding vendors

Just got the Pfran LEDs for the 80. They rock! They sell an extra bright version of the reverse lights that are blinding. If you get rev lights go with the upgrade.

Thanks. I have decided against it. I'm leaning towards keeping the 80 and getting an old tow rig. I have a line on a well maintained 7.3L F250. We'll see.

My 100 is for sale for $8k, mud price if anyone is interested.

I did that one time. The Lone Star guys told me I had to have a Cummins with a 6 speed manual.

Absolutely the worst vehicle purchase I ever made in my 46 years.

The suicide doors with baby seats allowed me to justify selling it after 10 months

I'm very happy with my Ol' Cummins. They just go forever. Not true for my father in laws Ford which is maintained and cared for. Always problems with that truck:(

They have full four door trucks and Mega-cabs now, Nolen. That, and Jeff's situation is a little bit different. His rug rat is opening beer with her ring now...

Get the reverse lights http://www.pfranleds.com/100-series-5w-cree-led-q5-high-power-reverse-bulbs-socket-7440/ and interior lights.

Don't foget to plastidip your wheels and antenna

I put some like those in the lexus and they sucked. They don't utilize the reflectors in the housing and just shine straight back. Took them out and replaced them with some that shone out to the sides as well as straight back and am happier with them.

I have over 200k on my 99 and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I would take off cross country tomorrow without a second thought. In fact, I'm trying to talk myself into doing some preemptive maintenance like changing out the original water pump and alternator just because...

Back to 100......

I ordered interior kit and parking kit whatever that is.

Beno is sending me the rubber strip.

Plastidip antennae? Wha?
Sorry I didn't see this earlier and get to you in time. Unless PFran has changed his supplier, you'll be buying new light modules before long. The ones I bought from him in his kit use an older-style LED that look like a bunch of resistors on a PCB. On each module, the LEDs have gone out one by one. In fact, he sent an extra module of each style (just in case, I suppose), and I've used every one of the extras so far.

I have since gone on eBay and bought modules that use what I consider to be newer, more reliable technology SMD LEDs (more of the chip-on-board style), and they're MUCH brighter and seem to be much more reliable.

Hopefully, he's changed suppliers since I bought mine a while ago, and what i said above will be moot. However, if not, you're likely to be buying replacement LED modules soon.

Can't find an example of what I got in his kit, but here's and example of an smd module I used to replace them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-Map-Pan...Parts_Accessories&hash=item25966f142f&vxp=mtr

EDIT: Disregard all of what I said above. Just saw the link to his site, and he's changed over to the smd LEDs. Those will work fine and will be reliable........
