The DT headers aren't priced bad...it's the install that's nuts, $1200+

With as much as you've done to your 40, you shouldn't have any problem at ALL doing headers on your 100. smm3 installed headers as one of his first wrenching jobs ever.....and though he said it's a bit of a pita, he completed the job successfully........it sure would be worth saving the 12 bills!

Thanks, but no way! Maybe in a garage full of some folks who actually knew what they were doing, but i can't imagine doing that to my DD on my own.

Nice one Garth!

Muffler shop just called, said the pipes were a bad fit, they had to bang on them to get them in ??

Also said the O2 sensor locations were so far back that they were going to have to do some work on the OEM routing, move wires out of loom, etc.

Ugh...

Fit turned out to be OK. Guy said they figured out there was a trick to sliding them in there.

3 things:

1. I've been driving a crippled truck for the past month for sure. Engine response is better than i ever remember it being, but that may be because it's been so terrible for the last month. Either way, feels good.

2. There is most definitely more rumble in the exhaust...don't know if I like that yet or not.

3. It's throwing a P0057 code that comes on every time the truck is cranked, which is an O2 sensor code. If I can't get this figured out, going right back to the shop to get them ripped out and some other aftermarket part put on.

Shoot me in the face.
