How does it ride with the torsion bars turned up? Most of my college buddies did that with their Z71s and they all road as horrible as Lenny's jokes.

you rode lenny's jokes for breakfast?

As long as you keep the suspension in its proper operating range it is fine.

You don't want to get it where the suspension cant fall out.

I can't tell the difference. Of course, I just matched the stock rear height, not lift springs like some do so I still have a lot of adjustment left before it causes problems.

I can't spell anymore. I'm just gonna quit...

2003 here local with 120k for $13,000. Same color!

Going to go by and look at it as soon as I can.

One scrape on the passenger rear qrtr bumper fascia. Didn't get to start it or drive, it is sitting on a lot and I snuck by there in the fire truck.

So I loaned my 100 to my dip**** nephew yesterday while Chris tuned up his 80.

I got in it this morning and the speaker in my driver's door is blown. Damn kid. Cost me $100 to get 2 shipped here from Crutchfield.

Kenwood's. Searched on Mud, most said just use the Crutchfield user guide for specific vehicle. These looked good, no brackets needed.

Anyway, has anyone popped the door apart on a 100? Do you have any tips for me?

*^*^$*%#(@ pisses me off. I need to quit helping the little turd.

I guess it is all just blood pressure training for when my kids start driving.

I've seen the inside of my door. I went
from the outside in, so I'm of no help.

Are you bringing the handy to Memphis?
I live about 3 mins from Hilton.

I installed a pair of MB Quart Add-A-Woofer 6.5" drivers in the doors in Spivey's 100. Not too bad. Push in those little pins around the edge and a couple of screws around/under the pull handle. Pop out the switches or unplug them from the harness and you're clear.

Buy a map!

I wish you could get the later models without nav.
I was in panama last week and saw tons is 100 with
diesels. I was very jealous.

Nolen, be careful on the 2003-up models, as the ohm specs on the speakers can be whacked. I know you don't have the Mark Levinson system, but make sure the JBL system you DO have doesn't have very high or very low ohm speakers. Go to Crutchfield and enter all of the vehicle-specific data. If it shows speaker recommendations, you're good. If it doesn't (like on my LX and Val's GX), you're gonna have to do some digging.

As for door panel removal, the following is a write-up I did a while back on my LX. It should be pretty close to the Land Cruiser method.

Thanks for the link. I remember your comments about ohms and I used Crutchfield. I should have just ordered one. Looks like a PITA.

Can I just remove the bottom and get to the speakers ?

If you need help measuring ohms of the system to verify or change they ohm supply to the speaker inline LMK. Buddy of mine from church is an electronics engineer and knows about that kind of stuff.
