I have both and love them both equally. The 200 does feel a bit more like a whale but in the best possible way. I do perfer the seating position and feel of the leather in my LX470 over my 16LC.

I went from an 80 to a 100 to a 200 and have no regrets.

The ONLY reason I "upgraded" was because my kids are getting bigger. I am 6'1", I have twin sons that just turned 14 and they are about 5"10 and my daughter is 9 years old and she is about 5'. With bags and gear it was getting pretty tight in the 100 going on camping, coast, fishing and Colorado trips...

The 200 is hands down an all around better vehicle for my uses. I would go with the 200...

A leaky diff and dents shouldn't preclude you from picking it up. Not sure what "bad dents" are, but you may be amazed at what some of the paintless dent repair folks can do.

I owned and wheeled the crap out of a built 100 for 6 years and absolutely loved it. When I made the jump 4 years ago I really thought I'd have buyers remorse getting rid of it, and that lasted about a day. The 200 is better in every way. Wheels better, has front end articulation, power, extremely comfortable on long trips, isn't nearly as big as you might think in comparison to the 100, and definitely doesn't feel bigger on the trail (to me anyway) and so far at 120k, has been bullet proof just like the 100.

The good news is you can't go wrong... if I still had my 100, I'd still be a happy LC owner.

My thoughts on the 100->200 move:

While I love that 200, the 100 has still been getting trail time in fact it was my first choice to take to the Baja recently. Something about letting 3 stinky pals live out if it for a week :D

But yeah, just about everything on the 200 is superior.

You should try the aniline leather in the LX570 and you will be like it feels much better than the LX470 leather :D
