Below is the chapter of this job in the back of my head I knew would have to be addressed at some level , I just did not understand the whole “ witch various drive belts idler and tensioner pulleys and their associated and needed slider and lock down hardware “ would become a global JDM parts scavenger hunt like the Curse of Oak Island 🏝️?

I have very thoroughly documented each step by steps below and later will further separate them up into individual TECH threads for an easy to understand stand alone topics ..

It started to really confuse me a bit , because there are subtle differences between the FJ80 3FE and the FJ62 3FE , when google searching all over , the total lack of any information here then gets compounded by when you do finally find a needed parts or part solution , whom ever is creating it does not distinguish what year 3FE it fits and just uses a simple no model year mentioned approach and only used “ Land Cruiser 4.0 3FE “ or “ Land Cruiser 3FE “

But …

All the foggy online tech aside , I approached the below as I normally do and made stuff work and made it happen as close to oem original as ℹ possibly can and using any dam TOYOTA OEM Part from another car or truck if need be , and it was needed here down to the nice OEM YAHMA Japan Spec. stainless steel marine grade Acorn crown nut 🌰 atop the Power Steering Idler assy.

Final touches and re-fresh- re-freshys that matter

All sealed up tight and total P/S system was drained and refilled with the best possible fully synthetic ATF DEX III fluid ever developed..

I found long lengths of OEM JAPAN made return line hose and those wild stainless clamps too …

GHOST said NO for the first time WED. Night while turning around in the local park Office Depot parking lot ….

I am NOT to the finish line yet …

But , I am NOT also just throwing parts at her …

The 3F-E is new to me and so is a TOYOTA 1st gen EFI just crapping out with ZERO waring .

But she is the Company SHOP-ROADRUNNER ..

So here needs are still needed …

I will post and update as I go and you will learn and see what I see as it occurs …

- NO fuel odor ?

- TACH no longer hovers @200-250rpm during cranking either ..

- I have a pile of photos as always and a yearn to learn and help others here too …

- i simply know it will be everything I do not know and nothing I do know well of course.. 🤣

Why the hell would it be any other way ?

What do you do when this happens ?

No more yellow OLD MAN EMU BUSHIHGs

I have been chasing the wandering steering for a while now …

I have never come Accross this

I thing welding 2 stitches to either side of the yellow bushings sleeve is in order

It’s has a lot of slop too much for my liking and safety

I’ll post the initial ah haaaa moment pics below too

Extra heavy duty name brand type. Can’t have any breakages. That would be unsafe.

I did not cause any of the ODD forms to them

It’s almost like somebody carved them up intentionally because the lacked the FJ62 1990 final year FSM ?

The side outer faces looked bench grind-red to me ?

The total lack of ANY at all on the passenger side now might suggest they overwhelmed and skipped that set of step by steps

This is a long term thing that has drove my crazy ?

I went looking for everything but total lack of any rubber or aftermarket spring pin bushings ?

GHOST was modded with the U bolt flipper kit before I got her , there SAE U bolts and NOT a METRIC space 🆔 the U part , I can see subtle movement but like the CTR of the ARB spring pack rotates as you turn the Wheel in the parked position wheels firmly on the ground

The whole no bushings may actually be creating this now ?

I am going on a Test Drive now around the block

If you are ever fighting SHACKLE or Spring Perch Bushings to get both in between the metal below is what I use and it works SST like for me …
