I don't think these internal parts come up very often and seeing as my OEM winch had broken mounting feet, I disassembled the case and cleaned / inspected the parts. All items in good shape and without issue. I have no idea on the useability of the tapered roller bearings but I also see no...
Hello! I just converted to disk and so I have drum brake parts off of my 1964 fj40. I’m thinking 100$?
I’m in Denver. Let me know if you’re interested!
Thanks!
I converted to discs on the front and have everything associated with that for free to whoever can use it. All came off of a 1975 fj55. Some of it is fairly new (within 15,000 miles). No leaks from the brake cylinders and the shoes have plenty of life left. Maybe someone would just like spares...
Can anyone give the bolt size that one would use to free the brake drum? Looks like my wheel cylinder leaked and I believe the brake lining swelled. This drum is really stuck. Any help and suggestions are truly appreciated.
I converted over to disc brakes a while back and still have these rear drum assemblies from my 1970 FJ40. They are heavy so I'm not sure if it worth shipping, but if you cover the cost and throw me $20 bucks I'll package them up. Otherwise, I'm located in NJ (07004) and you can pick them up...
I have a 1971 Fj40 with original drums on all four corners. The original motor was blown, so I swapped in a 2F with Trans and Tcase from a 1984 FJ60, eliminating my t-case parking brake. I am looking options to incorporate a parking brake without breaking the bank. Can the backing plates for...
Trying to finish up brake job on ‘77. Looking to see if anyone has a new OEM rear brake drum, part number 43501-60010 sitting on the shelf they would part with.
Called all the local Toyota dealers, all are giving me same answer/- part is on back order, might be one in Houston, could be 4...
I've got a 1983 FJ45 - GCC Specifications
I need to quickly change my drum brakes cylinder, quickly (got only 7 days before my temp plate expires).
Are the drum cylinders inter-changeable; maybe with other Toyota / US models? I've ordered replacements cylinders from parts souq but it will...
Converted my rig to four-wheel power disc brakes. Have all the parts for the rear drum brakes. $200 takes it all, plus you have to pay shipping since parts are heavy. One wheel cylinder was leaking badly, so it will have to be rebuilt. Those shoes are oily but they will clean up or can be...
I know the front spring is suppose to be behind the shoes and the back spring in front but why? I have not seen this on other cars with drum brakes. Just curious.
Thanks
