We're having one of the nicest weekends that I have seen since moved to Florida 4 years ago... It was perfect for working on the cruiser! :)

Started off with some help from a friend to install the new brake shoes and slotted cross drilled rotors and pads in the front along with some new brake lines on Friday. Saturday and Sunday I worked on putting the stereo and speakers into the new interior, working endless hours under the truck to address any surface rust with primer and paint after grinding, re-ran the new trailer lights, installed the new front bumper, installed the radio antenna, and ran power lines for the GPS. I feel like the truck is finally starting to come together! :bounce:

I attached a link to the pictures because I've been slack and haven't supported the site by buying a star yet (this week I will - I promise!). If you want to see any of the pictures in full size, there is a "full screen" option under "view" on the bottom right hand side.

Not bad for a rattle can paint job! By the way, when your 13 year old brother in law is helping you - the driveshafts get painted blue.... :o

The first 2 are "before shots."

Unfortunately - I'm not that skilled of a "wrencher" yet. So, one of the stipulations with dropping the rig off at a pro was that he let me do as much of the work as possible. I found a good guy locally that let me show up there as often as I wanted to "help" him. Most of what I offerd was painting trim, bolting and unbolting, trial fit, etc... occasionally I'd run the sewing machine... long story as to why I can use one of the commercial jobs....

So, I had lots of supervision and someone who knew the tricks of the trade. The carpet kit was from JTO - fit like s***.

Nice work! Nothing wrong with some color on a cruiser. I have a blue grill (my choice) and I'm waaaay older than 13.

Is that Rustbullet on the frame?

The blue driveshafts give it that 2 Fast 2 Furious look. :D
Wish I could get that much work done in a weekend.

The frame had very little to no rust at all. We decided to go ahead and take the wire wheel and give it a once over real quick - 2 coats of primer and then a few coats of gloss Rustoleum(sp). Figured that way at least we would prevent any from forming... So, no - not rust bullet.

Tuffy box was primed and painted before install - the pad was covered to match the rest of the rig...

Thanks for the kind words - it had it's first interior "hosing off" today - all the weep holes in the floor drained the way that they were supposed to and I got to clean the seats with soft scrub with bleach!

At first I was a little afraid of the white interior - but after taking the hose to it with a scrub brush and soft scrub, I'm not all that concerned about it. One other addition that makes a huge difference is the Hella map light mounted on the dash... sweet!

I didn't know West Coast Customs had opened up a new shop out east!!!

Just kidding, nice truck. The heighth, wheel/tire combo, and everything comes together in a nice package...

I got the bumper from a member here used - Bcald. He says that it was custom made by the PO of his rig - however, there was a thread here no too long ago with a link to it that (I swear it was the same) a similar bumper - though the company was Fab-Tech or something like it. Either way, it's pretty stout and the front hitch reciever is very handy!

And Carolina - X-ibit says :flipoff2:

;)

when ya gonna bring that rig up? might be making another trip to alpha pit the end of the month...trucks looking sick bro...

That does look good for rattle can. I plan on rattling mine, again, this spring in 'moss'.

Thanks Al - plan on being up there soon. Now that I can stop and go ins a relatively straight line.... it's on like Donkey Kong!

the interior looks great. would love to do mine similar, but the dust and crap down here would surely make the white turn yellow in no time.... still.... thinking of visiting the boatyard soon to see about some new seat coverage. nice job!!
