2 cans of krylon as close to spring green and lily white as I could get.
1 can of hammertone silver for the frame.
150 grit paper and some fine line tape.

Not cleared yet, and I hope to put on heavy flake silver pinstripes for color seperation.

I thought it came out pretty good. Thought I would share.

It does look good. That's going to be a cool bike when it's done. Nice work.

Beautiful...

Thanks. There are actually quite a few cruiser parts going on. The oil filter locator, the taillight is made from a pre 68 hub body (still need to get the glass cut), I am hoping to make the brake rod from a radiator support, the headlight ring and bucket are from a 40, etc. The original seat mounts were shock mounts form a cruiser axle tube, but they were too crusty.

It is by no means a show bike, more of a 10 footer, but that is what I am going for. I am hoping to get the motor in her in the next few days, and will get some more pics. 750 kick only triple, numbers matching.

Looks great! I love those old Triumphs. I had a 57 BSA Road Rocket a few years back. You think finding parts for a cruiser is tough....

:lol:Rabid tell him what type of shape that bike was in when this project started?

Nice seat brackett, that desighn seams to be something along the lines I suggested wasnt it? :flipoff2:

the bike was a numbers matching 100 percent stock 1976 Triumph T150 Trident. Barn find, literally. Sitting since 86. A buddy gave it to me. A quick sand of the points and three carb rebuilds, and she fired right up.

I did the math, and a real resto would have been 8K plus. After selling of the stock stuff, I am into the bike as she sits for less than $500, including the hardtail my wife bought me for christmas.

and the seat bracket was designed by a half drunk hillbilly with no fab skillz.

Nice. Love those old bikes. Took me almost a year to find a new generator for the BSA so I gave up and sold it. I'll see if I can find a pic of it.

That's the best $500 I've every seen!

Edit: Pic attached. (Not trying to hijack)

hijack away! That beut is worth it. What a beautiful bike!

I DIG the chrome tank BSA's. My buddy has an old lightning collecting dust I have been trying to pry out of his hands to no avail.

I wish I had the coin to resto it, and caught some real hell from the trident people for cutting it, but I like it better this way.

Check out choppahead.com for some NICE triumph chops in Boston. That is where I got the hardtail from.

It is an enamel. I did nothing to it. That it how it came out of the can. Not even a clear on it yet. I will probably redo the tank, as I can still see the faint outlines of the factory stripes, then it is getting my first shot at some striping and some clear.

I am afraid to wet sand it, though I should.

Just noticed my star expired...wtf?

Glad I got the pics up!

Thanks. I do not know much about them either, and it is the first brit bike I have had. British Standard fasteners (not quite metric, not quite standard) is a giant pain. I am replacing everything with exposed bolts with standard brass acorns. Hopefully a pic tonight with a motor in it.

new progress.

can you ID all the cruiser parts?
