. As a "IH8MUD Rookie" poster, I think I'm limited to 10 posts

I'm not 'the voice of Mud' by any means, but I think you are referring to your PM limit. Your post count should neva be limited...how else ya gonna get up to addict status, right?

Wile E Coyote - good news re the number of posts! I hope (and bet) that you're right. You're also right that this posting stuff could get frickin' addicting for me! All I'm lackin' is my Cruiser!

D'Animal - Have a blast at SnT! I'd love to get down there one of these years. I added a pic at the top of this post to help you and the other Cruiserheads keep an eye out. I'd LOVE to hear of the mayhem that would erupt if the thiefs showed up down there! That would be sweet, sweet revenge!

Everyone understand, that spot light and sunroof are the keys to finding this vehicle. Those to things are one in a million. They can change the color of the truck, but odds are they wont mess with those other two things.

Remember that spot light.

Good luck to you.

PS, that's why we should use one of those club devices that prevent the clutch from being depressed! They take to long to remove and you cant drive the truck without removing them.

HZJ60 - EXCELLENT point re the spot light and sunroof! Especially, the spot light is super-noticeable and I've never seen another FJ60 with one. Thanks for calling attention!

Re the club device for the clutch...if I had a nickel for everytime I thought of buying one, but never took the next step of actually going to buy one...well...I'd still have my Cruiser. :frown:

I live and work in SF. Your truck looks very similar to mine - will keep an eye out. SF PD does find about 80% of vehicles if they aren't parted out. hopefully it was just some crackhead out joyriding and you get your vehicle back.

Joy ride cars end up in the Bayview district......where most of the cars get left if they don't know what else to do with them.

All the way down 3rd at the end of the alphabet.

Williams, Yosemite....etc. Try x-streets like Ingalls.
I don't recommend cruising the neighborhoods down there at night though.

...consider san jose covered. i work in los altos so i'll keep my eye out there as well.

as an aside, a friend of mind just had her early '90's jetta stolen from the train station in menlo park. cops found it in redwood city...actually caught the guys driving the vehicle. they had gone so far as to swap plates with plates from another stolen vehicle. cops pulled them over for speeding. in the end, she got her car back plus the added bonus of a porn magazine in the back seat.

Boy, these stinkin' dirtbags are givin' Porn a bad name! :grinpimp:

by any chance did the hospital garage have cameras?

I know allot of hospitals do have cameras. Its possible that perhaps the suspects went into the hospital to visit some one then left to enter the garage to steel the truck but were also caught on camera. Its possible that this truck may be repainted as some one previosly mentioned. The spotlight will of course be key to knowing if its your truck. The truck may be used to haul stolen items which is a popular thing for thieves up here In Vancouver BC. Best to notify all repair shops within 30 miles of your location that work on these trucks to notify them of a stolen cruiser.

SF PD does find about 80% of vehicles if they aren't parted out.

If that's accurate, that's pretty impressive.

I'd venture that % is a whole lot lower in the cities along the border, like SD, PHX, etc.

The thought of my truck gettin' parted-out just hurts! I hope that's not the case, but, of course, it's quite likely.

Flybynight - Good call with the loc. I'll definitely check that out...plus the Mission where two buddies' stolen cars were found.

haryv - Unfortunately, no cameras where the truck was parked :frown: but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, all, for the continued watch. Let's find these guys!

viperghrd - Thanks...and thanks, especially, for mentioning it to your cousin-in-law! That would be sweet to have some extra attention from the PD! Thanks, in advance, for anything you or he can do.

cruiser88 - You said it!

Flybynight - I just got back from a thorough grid-search of Bayview and Hunter's Point...interesting tour...but, unfortunately, no Cruiser. :frown:

How's my old hood?
I used to work at the end of Yosemite by the water.
To bad no luck.....

best of luck.

For the others..... please install kill switches. Hidden of course. It's too sad to hear about good trucks going missing.
