yea, unfortunately i only had liability insurance on it. So this one was really hard to walk away from without some hard feelings. I had recently put the hood on it brand new from toyota, a brand new brass radiator, a new Orbit Cell Battery (completely sealed), K&N airfilter, the driving lights, and the clear corners. and i also installed an electric fan, new rubber hose from Mass Airflow Sensor to intake manifold. the front two windows are still intact, the rear two door windows are intact, and three of the four slider windows are intact ( my highlift handle took one out), glass in rear door is good as well. ( Glad I had everything strapped down!!)
but this vehicle wasn't bought by my mommy and daddy, it was all supported by my working habits. so now i'm up sh*t creek with driving back home to colorado and i'm out of my only form of transportation from Roswell, New Mexico, where the world stops turning.
if there is someone local who has a shop that they would let me work in, then i would be more than willing to part this thing out, but as of now, i think i'm going to need to sell it as a rolling chassis. i miss my cruiser.. : (
Actually, that isn't as bad as I'd thought it would be.
How do you feel about convertibles? Sawzall for an hour and spend a day with a 2lb sledge and you'd still have your trail rig. Build a cage and wear a helmet.

#3 if you can at all swing it keep it and buy something cheap and reliable for transport like a 2wd Toyota pickup and dedicate the 80 to trail vehicle. That way you can still use all of the mechanical upgrades you did and solid drivetrain. My .02
DOT says it it illegal to drive a vehicle on public roadways without an intact windshield. No cracks even.
I bet you could striaghten the windshield frame enough to hold glass. Maybe not water tight, but I bet you could do it. Do that and cut off all the top and all other windows left. Take out any good glass and sell it, and sell the upper hatch section if it is intact as it appears.
