I know, but a valid explanation.
Inherent to the flexy coils is the dead space at the upper rungs, almost like a 2" spacer on top of a 2" coil ( total 4" lift ).
When I checked max compression using forklift, I believe the coils bound due to the extra material in the upper rungs that keep the coil in the bucket at full droop, but none of the pros agree with me and all have suggested pulling shocks, coils, and cycling to double check my findings.
During the interim, changed wheels and tires, so another variable that wasn't factored.
Don't have the coils compressed dimensions, though, which leads me to believe that the best approach is to cram the tire into the well, cut the well, them lift until coil is compressed, measure, them order longest possible based on compressed number.
Haven't had time nor facilities, but it's coming. I can't stand the ride quality of the OMEs.
