Post them up I know there will be a bunch of everything.

Left yesterday due to my wife having Bronchitis.

Trip down was fun. Stopped by RHT and picked up some parts for Adam (Smokeymountain) and to let the guys see the Big Gay. They were all impressed. Drove up and picked Chuck up and headed up to Tellico. The ride up was awesome. Big Gay was a blast to drive. Rarely did I ever had to shift into 3rd gear. Passing was a breeze. I can honestly say I never got passed the whole way. Temps, oil pressure, fuel pressure were spot on. Only issue we had was the check engine light would come on every hr or so for a couple min. and then go off. As usually I pulled over every hr or so to check everything out since the motor is brand new and I'm known for being a princess in the pea kind of person. It has to work right or I'm not going to be comfortable.

Pulled into camp aroun 4 to see a whole lot of vehicles, campers, tents, and people. McNabb was packed. You had to look to find a couple square feet to set a tent up.

That night was a busy one for me so no pics but I did manage to cook 80lbs of wings and Maria and David Carp cooked 36lbs of Rotel. While dinner was being served Rick had a big screen TV setup and we watched some Peterson's Ultimate adventures. We had a good fire going and had a lot of good stories told around it. That's about all I remember. Woke up the next morning to Woody and the TTT cooking breakfast for everyone.

Heather then did a Tread Lightly Class. I thought I knew everything there was to know but I was so wrong. I learned so many things. I cannot thank her enough for doing this and hopefully we could get her to do it again at the annual.

Then we all split up into groups.

Knowing I had to be back early and the fact that this was Big Gays first trip out I took an easy trail. Rick Bigelow came along as he had a 18hr drive back home and didn't want to push his luck. We had a great time. Big Gay did great I could go up most obstacles without even pressing the gas.

Coming back down trail one we had two ambulances pass us and a third rescue vehicle was a couple minutes behind. Turns out a 4wheeler had run off trail 1 which is just a gravel road that connects the trails. Heather, Rob and Rogers group had come up on this guy who had gone off the road. He had a separated should among other issues. Out Fist Responders kit came in handy and but I'm glad it wasn't needed for one of us. So off he went to the hospital and on we went back to camp.

Came into camp to see our President had arrived as well as the other Appalachian folks. We packed up. On our way out we stopped by a waterfall and went swimming. Only a couple hundred yards from camp it was the highlight of the day for me. Chuck and I swam for 30 min before heading on.

Coming out of trail 1 Chuck and I got talking about GSMTR 09 in June next year. He had never been to Crawford's so I drove him over. Obviously my alternator had taken a crap at some point and upon getting to Crawford's we had to switch to the second battery. Danny was there and we chatted for about 15 min before heading back. It was an awesome ride back home. The high through the mountains was around 70 the whole way. We stopped in Clayton GA and picked up a spare battery just in case. No problems though. Got in Clemson just in time to meet JP out for a beer and a toast for congratulations and a short fast trip with Big Gay.

I just want to thank everyone who came out to the event. I want to thank the 15 new members who joined because of this event That puts our total membership at well into the mid 160's possibly 170. A special thanks goes out to Woody and the trail team as well as Atlanta Custom Creations. But most of all I want to thank Rick Carswell for stepping up and taking care of this event. With his as well as David Carpenter and Steve Springs help we pulled off what I would consider the most successful event in UC history. Thanks again everyone and hope to see you again soon.

Thanks Marshall. I joke all the time and even told I joke in my sleep when I'm not snoring:), but I'm not joking when I say it was important to get out and see you guys in person and personally thank you guys for everything you've done for me.

Now, since Joey and I left last night before the fire side stories got going, please fill me in! And did anyone bid a proper farewell to Fay? I know I personally told her bye.

What a great time. I sure hope Woody posts up the picture of Mr. Bear visiting Fay this morning and Bear Kryptonite. OK, who put Mr. Bear in my truck? I found a black bear in my back yard after getting back from OTMT!!!

No pics from OTMT, but until Marshall posts up his own video, here is a fascimile video of Marshall going up School Bus:

That's not a bear, that's Joey just taking his morning jaunt to Fay!
On second thought, that bear might be the reason that Fay was smelling like scat by day 2....

FAY said Joey looks much better from behind...

I wanted to thank everyone for a great time on my first event on the east coast. Kudos to Rick, UC, and TTT for a lot of fun and food :clap:. I can't wait to do it again and I will get the pictures posted when I get them from my passenger/photographer. It was great seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. The shower on Sunday was fantastic and I really needed a good shampoo ;).

Til next time,
