Thanks! yeah.. Unfortunately mine progressed :( I did find the actual linkage under the truck and all appears to be in order, not sure what the mechanisms under the actual shifter bezel should look like but they seem to be working as well. Ill keep digging and hope for some more insight.

So I was researching this a little further and saw a few things referring tot he P0708 code and recalled having this show up on my scanner. Seems possible that this is related?

So.. Two for possible linkage, does this send a signal somewhere that makes the truck think its in reverse? Im a rookie at all this stuff so what am I looking for when checking the linkage? Is this a shifter/ in the cab check or in the tranny?

Any specific details on the maintenance of the engine? Has the HG been done? Front main seals, Valve seals, anything like that?

Last summer my A/C just quit.. I had redone the entire system from the compressor back the year before and that was the last piece that wasn't brand new.
