You just described what I am going through with 04 LC. Almost similar with some differences and more parts on my end.
I've replaced two drive shafts, swapped out the U-joint on the original, installed a brand-new rear differential, and tried two different transfer cases—one brand new and...
It's been a tough ride, and it's extra frustrating because it's my daily driver. 30,000 miles later, it's running, but I'm always fearing a massive, unfixable failure.
I forgot to mention that on hot days the vibrations are worse.
Unfortunately, my issue wasn’t resolved even after trying multiple fixes, including swapping the slip yoke position. I also considered the driveshaft balance but didn’t find any improvement after checking everything.
After some more troubleshooting, I’m leaning toward the transmission being...
I did try that as well. It improved things under 50, however the actual problem was still present. At this point it is either something very obvious that I cannot point out or something that cannot be fixed at all.
Right now my fix was to get another car and till I can fix this. Driving it daily...
Unfortunately no. I initially thought the rear differential was the issue, but even after replacing it with a new OEM part from Toyota, the problem persists. The only component that hasn't been swapped out between the front and rear differentials is the transmission. I suspect the torque...
Power Antenna 600$ that was a 15 mins job to replace the actual antenna. If the motor is good the antenna can be bought from partsouq cheapest place to buy. 🤯
Update: After 15k miles, the vibration in my truck has been increasing gradually. I recently acquired another used transfer case to eliminate it as the source of the issue, confirming it's the new T-case was not the culprit. Despite replacing two rear drive shafts the issue does not seem to go...
Got the LC back from the shop, inconclusive diagnosis. Rear DS was noted to have some slop, however w/o the rear DS LC now has developed the same symptoms with the front driveshaft. The shaking seems to increasing as I drive more. Seems like I have to wait for something to go bad. Hopefully not...
Thanks for the kind words! I Absolutely love my trusty 20-year-old 100! It's been a blast for my family and me. 😄
Checked the T-Case oil, driveshaft, and rear control arms - all seem fine. Yet, the vibes are getting worse, and I can't risk a breakdown. It is my daily driver and I feel like...
