Stolen Blue 62 - NE Portland

Good question. The guy never posted an update but I'd assume it was found at some point.

Machine Shop for intake/exhaust manifold machining flat

John - You might check with Bearing Service Co. (the shop that is in the Pearl, just N of Deschutes Brewing). The guys at LCNW mentioned that they use them quite a bit.

    Stolen 88 FJ62

That’s great to hear. Im the guy who messaged you you on Nextdoor about it. I did a few drives through the area around 33rd and Marine Drive and a few other hotspots last weekend....what an absolute s***show up there. I hadn’t been up there in awhile.

    Portland Metro Classifieds

@jmcclusk - I have a stock 60 bumper that was, for some reason, painted black by the prior owner. It isn't pretty, and I assume you are looking for a true OEM chrome bumper, but you are welcome to have it.

    Front Doors security

I agree that a decent alarm with a very visible blinking light is a good call for stopping opportunistic prowlers just looking for a quick grab. I live in Portland, OR and literally every night there are tweakers going around and trying door handles. I have a camera aimed on my rig and so far...

Thinking of purchasing this FJ62. Would love some opinions

I would steer clear from that, for all the reasons listed above. Seems like a shop who has no knowledge of, or respect for, Land Cruisers got wind of the pricing trends of the past few years and decided to find a relatively cheap rig with rust issues and give it the Xzibit "Pimp My Ride"...

    Dash Covers..........your opinions please!

I have a brown Cruiser Corps dash cap for my 60 and it looks great. The original dash is in great condition and I got the cap just as a protective measure. It fits pretty snugly without any adhesive, which is how I'm using it.

    Portland Cars & Coffee - Overland / 4x4 Day Sep 29th

I will be out of town, unfortunately, but I noticed that the Portland Cars & Coffee group is hosting an Overland / 4x4 themed meetup at the World of Speed Museum in Wilsonville on the 29th from 8 - 11 am. These are usually pretty well-attended events, and thought I would give everyone a heads...

    Handbrake help

Not sure about the thread, but the same thing happened to me and I ordered a replacement here 46217-10020-01 - Toyota Parts Deal Even though the website says they have them in brown, I think they only have them in black (so you might check with them if you are looking for brown).

Is this yours - Body Shop

This looks like a great option. I remember Rodney talking about him. I could use some small surface rust spot and other repairs. Probably won't get around to it for a while, but can you guys pass along his number? Thanks.

    autotrader 60

The seller's quote "It is ridiculous how much money has been put into creating this customized, one-of-a-kind vehicle" is spot on. That is, if he expects to get even a fraction out of what he put into it. I guess you have to start somewhere on the price, but I would be shocked if it fetches...

    Material Amount for Reupholstering FJ62

Awesome. As a native New Mexican now living in Portland, I can respect the Pendleton choice. We had some window benches upholstered in Pendleton fabric for our house and it turned out great. Ebay is a great source for Pentleton fabric remnants. It also reminds me of my boy Creeper!

    Material Amount for Reupholstering FJ62

Sorry, just checked my email records and the roll was 65" wide. And most importantly for your purposes!.....each OEM front seat in my 60 took about 1 yard of fabric.
