Recommended permanently installed Vacuum Gage for FJ60

https://www.amazon.com/GlowShift-Universal-Single-Pillar-Pillar/dp/B001PHY8HS That’s the Amazon link. I took some tin snips to it along with a heat gun to try and mold it as much into position as possible, and then painted it with the Dark Grey SEM color everyone uses on here for the center...

Recommended permanently installed Vacuum Gage for FJ60

I saw Matt's Yazaki Vacuum gauges on previous posts and it actually motivated me to find one on Facebook Marketplace in the U.K. of all places. Eventually convinced the guy to ship it to me. I didn't like the style of the others on the market, and didn't need precise accuracy, more just a...

    Replacement Vacuum Hose question

I did this a few years ago for an FJ62 and ordered “10” quantity of the 5MM hose for the larger diameter one and “30” quantity of the 3.5MM hose for the standard one from TurboLogic. The total with shipping was just short of $50 At the time. I had a little bit extra left of the 5MM and enough...

    FJ62 O2 Sensor

Denso 234-4056 is what I used recently for my 89’. It needed two as well. the gaskets were also in the box, so I didn’t need to buy those separately. They were plug and play with no fitment issues.

    Checking and changing motor mount

I just wanted to add some additional thoughts for anyone who might come across this: check your exhaust clearance - with how mine was setup, the bottle jack and 2x4 would create more than enough clearance for the passenger motor mount, but the exhaust tubing was stopping the drivers side from...

Speedometer not working but Odometer functions fine

Just wanted to provide an update, cleaning the speedometer gauge fixed the issue. I used a can of WD-40 electrical contact cleaner because it's pressurized but also not a harsh chemical like some other aerosol cans. Not my photo, but the area I highlighted is where I sprayed to clean out most of...

Speedometer not working but Odometer functions fine

These two are both interesting thoughts. I thought about the speedup Complete setup, but not about just replacing the speedometer portion. I didnt think of finding a rebuilder either. I assumed it would be a gear, but based off this I will probably end up pulling and inspecting to see if I can...
