Alright. The Bridgestones that came on me Tundra take off wheels were getting old (8 years) and worn and I found a little chunk missing so I decided to do something dramatic.
Cooper ATPs in 275/65/18 on my Tundra Steelies. I really wanted skinnier tires but this is what they had in stock.
I have...
I have updated my main thread but i wanted to update this as well in case anyone searches.
Huge News on the AC BLINKING LIGHT issue!
I turned the Land Cruiser into Katy L & T (Lexus and Toyota) and the wonderful owner there, Miguel, suggested that the 3 knob control panel (that I changed out a...
Huge News on the AC BLINKING LIGHT issue!
I turned the Land Cruiser into Katy L & T (Lexus and Toyota) and the wonderful owner there, Miguel, suggested that the 3 knob control panel (that I changed out a few years ago from the Multifunction Display) was not responding correctly so I bought...
Side by side comparison
Ridies still hasn't fixed this clip and there is no way it will fit. I drilled some holes and screwed it down.
I did not steam them and probably won't. Texas heat will get that in a month or two.
My thoughts on the two:
1. Ridies Napa Leather has a nicer texture...
This weekend I pulled the seats and got busy.
The arm rests had a lot of crushed foam padding so I cut up a dense pipe insulation and glued it on. Man, this made a huge difference for the better.
I trimmed the edges to soften the lines. You can’t even see it.
Oh the tear down… again…
I got updates! We almost made it a week before the AC light blinked- OH NO!!!!
It was acting up really bad the day before I switched AC AMP #1 and it seems to be Working fine until yesterday the blinked once. I have only installed AC AMP #1. I have the used AC AMP #2 that I will install in about...
Blinking AC light seems to be getting worse, now. RRRRrrrrr...
Also, just ordered Ridies replacement seat covers for the front in the Napa Leather option with the center console (in case colors don’t match).
Luckily, the truck is doing great mechanically.
I jumped in on a good deal that came...
LOL. Funny that I have an impact driver and used it and it wouldn't break loose. I did get it to work on one that I was having issues with so I skipped the easy out method.
It was a pain and time consuming. I messed up a few times and had to redo some stuff. It took me a while to adjust and “calibrate” the glass to get it to shut right and settle correctly.
Then I took the kids through the longest car wash in the world at Bucee’s for a leak test since we are going...
Disassembled the rack assembly and throughly scrubbed it. At 101* it was dry by the time I was done.
I had some extra sound deadener so I threw it on the blank spots on the roof.
Fully cleaned and reassembled sliding roof assembly.
I also re-foamed around the AC register vents as mine were...
I found the source of my water leak. This kinked sunroof drain.
As I massaged it round again all this dirt fell out.
I put two zip ties around it to keep it in shape and put two pieces of foam on either side to keep it from crushing again
This little clip was a pain in my butt but...
This weekend I started a long anticipated project… it worked for a few months after I got it but seized up one day.
…. The Sunroof….
It started great.
I stripped the head out of both tne handle screws on this handle… had to drill the hole and do the reverse screw easy out on both.
Then the...
Ever since purchasing this LX470, the rear AC would sometimes work and flip to heat without warning or pattern. At the Yard I got the transmission at, I picked up the Rear AC Control panel from that one. I swapped them out and it works great now! The kids are relieved in this heat.
