Really old thread but just curious, what were your usual highway speeds and RPM? Did you ever calculate your mpg? I have newly rebuilt 4.88s I was considering throwing under my HDJ81 but I fear 35s may be too small. Might be time to jump to 37s.

Looking to replace my 80 series rad. I don't have a fan shroud on it as the previous owner never replaced it so I will be adding one. So my question is will a 1fz fan shroud work with a 1hdt? Reason I ask is a friend has a new OEM 1FZ rad I can get pretty cheap just want to make sure a 1fz fan...
