Thanks grinchy. I had seen that thread, but the discussion is way over my head. I don't like splicing into OEM wire looms, and even if I was willing, I would not even know where to begin with lol!
The threads I've found on this subject don't really give a definitive answer, I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find a real good recommendation for a speedo corrector on the 200 Series.
I used the Yellowbox on my Hundy. It was plug & play and worked perfectly, but they said...
Beautiful rigs you have there Mike. Congratulations. I especially have a soft spot for the 55 and yours seem to be in very nice shape . I am also in Sugar Land and am always willing to have a beer with a fellow cruiserhead.
I've run my front diff with a slight humming noise after getting some very similar debris on the magnetic drain plug for over 50k miles without an issue.
Thanks for the photos. I now see that I just need to move the transmission skid plate forward, so that it covers the front diff. Currently, as it sits, it protrudes to the back of the transmission crossmember and even covers a little of the transfer case (see on the pics I posted above) I just...
I've contacted ASIR and Leonard said the front skid plate is un-changed as it has always worked with the Diesel and Petrol versions.
Can you confirm this front skid plate is long enough so that it covers the front differential?
Maybe I just need to move the transfer skid plate forward? 9I...
Question for anybody that might have installed the new version of the ASFIR front skid plate (the one that works with the UZJ)
I installed what they call the "gear skid plate" about a year ago. It is a Diesel-specific design, so I had to tweak it a little bit in order for it to fit properly on...
I haven't had any braking issues (or other) when the lights stay on after dis-engaging the CDL. Haven't tested it, but I'd figure VSC is off so, can probably spin the wheels if I wanted though.
No haven't resolved it. It happens sometimes, not every time I engage the CDL, so it's hard to diagnose and as it has not adversely affected the truck's performance I honestly forget about it lol! (Due to current situation, I haven't been able to get out like I normally do, so last time I used...
2003. Aprox 110k miles at the time.
33" tires @ 25 PSI
Climbing a rocky hill, raised the wheel off the ground and when it landed it broke (I was not on the accelerator when it landed). I think it was the A-Trac activating with the wheel spinning in mid air.
Replaced with a TJM locker and has...
Part numbers for ARB bull bars for 98-02 are different than those for 2003+. Not sure what the difference is, but there is some clearance issues. As far as taking it off and putting it on another truck, its just a matter of taking some bolts off and disconnecting the turn signal wires. It is...
I got this e-mail from Asfir 4X4
Read below (attached image) and contact them if you are interested.
I wish I could do it myself, but I'm in Houston and don't have the time for a road trip right now. I have no affiliation with this company other than I bought a skid plate from them last year...
